## What is GARUDA HCM?

GARUDA-HCM is the employee self-service app for organizations running Garuda HCM. Sign in with your company code to manage your workday from your phone:

- Mark attendance with a selfie + GPS punch, on-site or in the field
- Apply for leave and track balances and approvals
- Submit and track expense reimbursements
- View payslips, documents, and the holiday calendar
- Get notifications for approvals, reminders, and announcements
- Outstation / field-trip location logging, with biometric app lock

Note: GARUDA-HCM requires an account provided by your employer. You will need a company code and credentials from your HR team to sign in.

Booking approvals now work fully on the phone
- Approving a room or vehicle booking opens a review step where you choose which resource it actually gets, with live availability, capacity and maintenance status. This previously had to be done in the web app.

Calendar
- Leaves, meetings, trips, driver assignments, holidays and announced events in one filterable month view.

Working a weekly off or a holiday
- If your company allows it, punching on an off day now asks you to confirm instead of silently refusing, and a new Comp-off earned screen shows the days and overtime you have banked.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-08-11

Faster punching, bookings, and smarter search.

- Punch now responds instantly. Your check-in or check-out is saved on the device the moment you tap and shows as "Saved - syncing" in amber until the server confirms it, so you never have to wonder whether it worked on a weak connection. Punching is blocked for two minutes afterwards, with a countdown, to prevent accidental double punches.
- Bookings: see upcoming and past bookings with their status, cancel one you no longer need, add attendees, and use "Find a free one" to pick an available room or vehicle. You get a reminder 15 minutes before an approved booking.
- Managers and approvers can now reach their approval queues - leave, missed punches and bookings - which previously were not visible to them.
- Search tolerates typos and ranks the closest match first, in the chat people picker and the admin payslip and dashboard lists.
- If your account signs in on a new phone, the older session now ends cleanly and tells you why.

Fixes and improvements

- Fixed: applying for leave and viewing your leave history now work correctly. These were failing to load in the previous version.
- Half-day leave: apply for a morning or afternoon half day; it is booked as half a day against your balance.
- Managers and HODs can now review, approve or reject leave requests from the app, and set the leave type on a request that was sent without one.
- Attendance: a punch that got stuck on "Punch Out" now repairs itself, and refused punches explain why in plain language.
- Admin tab: live counts on pending leave approvals and missed-punch requests.
