## What is Gastón?

Your month, not the receipt.

I show you the month: what already went, what's coming, in pesos and in dollars.

• Calendar — your month at a glance; drag to reschedule
• USD & ARS — exchange rates kept up to date
• Monthly Review — what actually changed
• Recurring bills and installments — what's coming, on the calendar
• Budgets — limits per category, and the real numbers behind them
• Web, iPhone, and Android — one account, every device
• Your data, yours — export anytime, delete your account anytime

Gastón is a personal expense tracking tool, not financial advice.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.12.0 — 2026-09-16

• Turn an expense you already logged into installments or a fixed expense, right from Edit.
• Reopen your WhatsApp chat with me from inside the app, no need to search for it.
• Resetting your password now finishes in the app instead of a browser tab.
• A new Your plan screen shows what you have used this month.
• Long-press a message in our chat to copy it.
• A new opening animation.
• Private mode is a working toggle again in Preferences.

### 1.11.1 — 2026-09-11

• The You tab is organized now: your profile up top, then Your money, More from Gastón and Preferences, with a one-line hint on every row.
• Monthly review and Records have moved to a new Looking back card at the end of Home.
• When a screen could not refresh, I try again as soon as you come back to the app, tell you when it was last updated, and remind you that you can pull down to retry.
• Opening the app is lighter: I load your settings once instead of separately for every screen.
• On iOS 26, the badge on the Home bell is no longer cut off at the top.

### 1.11.0 — 2026-09-11

• Log an expense from WhatsApp. Connect your number in the app, then message me "2500 at the supermarket" — I read it and leave it waiting in your Inbox, where you set the category and payment method when you confirm it. Text only for now: no voice notes or photos yet.
• A notification bell on Home, so anything I have sent you is one tap away instead of buried under You.
• The Inbox groups captures that look like expenses you already logged, so you can review them together, collapse them, or skip the whole group in one go.
• Skipping an Inbox line now asks why — already logged, not an expense, or I got it wrong — and asking never blocks the skip.
• When the book you are in is shared, its name shows on Home, the Inbox, the Log and the expense form, so you always know which one you are adding to.
• Signing in as somebody else on the same phone no longer leaves you looking at the book from the account you signed out of.
• Leaving a shared book as its last member no longer strands you on a screen with nowhere to go.
• Settings no longer shows five switches that did not change anything.

### 1.10.0 — 2026-09-09

• Tapping the total on the Log no longer takes the screen down. It opens the Categories view, which crashed on any amount large enough to be shortened — routine in pesos, which is why peso accounts hit it and dollar accounts never did.
• Save an expense with no signal: it waits in a queue and sends itself once you are back online.
• Installment plans can be saved offline too, and a queue that replays creates one plan, never two.
• An expense the server refused can now be fixed and sent again, not just retried or discarded.
• Lists you already opened stay readable with no signal, and say when they are remembered rather than current.
• Losing signal no longer signs you out, or resets the app to English.
• Ask Gastón in chat and he can draft an expense you log with one tap.
• Pick a payment method when you confirm something from the Inbox.
• An Inbox line that names cuotas can be added as the whole plan, future installments included, instead of just the single charge.
• The Inbox shows the currency it will actually record, so a charge in dollars no longer lands as pesos.
• Amounts group thousands while you type.
