I feel like I've used all the different apps and they all have their quirks, but Gather has been a really modern experience to managing my wealth and keeping an understanding of all of my financial information in one place. I particularly enjoy how smooth and fast everything is, the ability to tag and view overviews, as well as being able to tag transaction on the go for upcoming tax returns. By linking your share portfolio, home or investment properties, superannuation, loans, savings, credit card accounts, etc., the wealth home page calculates your assets and debts, giving you an overall picture of your current financial status. The app is easy to navigate, and joining is easy. I sent a message asking for the invitation code to sign up, and I was promptly given the code. I'm a very happy user so far! ### 5/5 — Best Finance Tracking App *2025-03-14, version 1.0.7* I’ve been using Gather now for the past month or so and I have absolutely saved so much time. Tried a bunch of other apps but I didn’t have much luck with them. The customisability feature allows me to keep a track of my niche expenses and have up “set and forget” rule so it does all the work for me. Only thing is that there’s glitches (very briefly) but the support system is fast and features are still being released slowly so I haven’t been able to experience it fully but something I’m sure will improve as time goes on. ### 5/5 — Helps me feel on top of my money *2025-02-25* I have SO many accounts. Wealth graph gives a combined snapshot of them all which is sweet. Seeing all my transactions from all the accounts in one feed is a genuine lifesaver. The Rules feature is my favourite - it automagically sorts my transactions, saving me heaps of time, especially at tax time. The Summary view gives me a clear snapshot of my spending, with the option to drill down into details when needed. Overall, Gather is a nifty, powerful app that makes staying on top of my finances simple and stress-free. It’s equally hard to know if I’m spending too much on certain things like takeout and pubs. The app allows me to see all of that, gives me relevant finance news and helps me save on tax by spotting deductions. Tried finding reviews more info about it and didn’t get much since the name is weirdly blending with other company names and terms. Phone app that will ask for my banking access, doesn’t really inspire confidence ### 2/5 — App needs work *2025-11-06* Successfully connected my bank but for the life of me can’t add in properties. A screen covers the functions to allow to enter data. And I’ll have to wait until stake or commsec allow for syncing. It’s been incredibly useful for tracking my monthly spending and savings. My favourite feature is the net worth graph - just to see your wealth grow day by day is genuinely motivating. And dare I say it’s become soo addictive that I find myself opening the app everyday just to check the graph. And no other app on the market does it and trust me I have tried many. Another cool feature is that it acts like a one stop shop for all my banking accounts accounts plus it’s able to integrate my super, investment accounts and even my property, giving a complete picture of my finances without having to jump btw multiple apps. I rarely open up my bank or super apps these days. The UI is soo goood - it’s clean, intuitive and polished and honestly feels like something Apple would have designed. Everything is smooth, sharp and has that Liquid Glass feel that makes the app a pleasure to use. Finally, the co founders deserve a shoutout. They’re incredibly responsive through the in app chat and have helped me troubleshoot a few issues. It’s sooo refreshing to see that level of customer support from the peeps actually building the app. Overall, highly recommend Gather to anyone who wants to automate their budgeting, tracking their savings and get a clear view of their overall financial health. I love the new direct syncing with Stake, Commsec & Betashares which lets me check my stock portfolios without opening a bunch of different apps. It’s also the only app I know of that lets me watch a crypto wallet address alongside everything else. Now I just need trade tracking please! The developers are super responsive to my questions and feedback through the in-app support chat. The liquid glass interface looks great and the whole app almost feels like something Apple would make. It’s a pleasure to use. One minor issue (developer replied to me quickly and gave me a work around for now) with a travel card that the developers are fixing that affects overall balance.
