## What is Gather?

Gather is a private weekly video app for the people who matter most.

Life gets busy. Friends scatter to different cities. Family lives far away. The group chat goes quiet. The people you care about most become the hardest to stay close to.

Gather changes that.

HOW IT WORKS

Every week, everyone in your circle shares a short video update (2-3 minutes). Watch when it's convenient. Reply when you're ready.

No scheduling calls across time zones. No coordinating calendars. Just real, face-to-face connection that fits your actual life.

WHY WEEKLY?

3 minutes a week beats 3 hours every 6 months.

Most friendships fade not from conflict, but from neglect. We keep meaning to call. We keep meaning to catch up. But life gets in the way.

Gather creates a simple ritual that keeps you connected without the overhead of scheduling. One circle. One video. Once a week.

PERFECT FOR

- Friend groups scattered across cities
- Family staying connected across generations
- Book clubs and accountability partners
- Small groups and communities
- Long-distance relationships
- Anyone who wants to stay close but struggles to find time

WHAT MAKES GATHER DIFFERENT

- Weekly rhythm - not another app demanding daily attention
- Conversation prompts - no more "what should I say?"
- Private by design - no public feeds, no followers, no algorithms
- Async video - record and watch on your own schedule
- Small groups - 2-8 people who actually matter to you

THE ANTI-SOCIAL MEDIA

Gather isn't another social network.

There are no likes. No follower counts. No endless scroll. No tricks to keep you on the app longer than you want.

Just meaningful video updates from the people you actually care about.
