## What is Gathr?

Planning a wedding, a party or anything with a guest list? Gathr keeps the invitations, the replies and what it all costs in one place — so you can stop running it out of a group chat and a spreadsheet.

Free. No ads, nothing to upgrade, and no charges to you or your guests.

INVITES GUESTS CAN ACTUALLY ANSWER
Send invitations by text, WhatsApp or email. Each guest gets their own link and can RSVP right in their browser — no app to download, no account to make. Replies land in your guest list automatically, and reminding everyone who hasn't answered takes a couple of taps.

A GUEST LIST THAT STAYS HONEST
See who's going, who's a maybe, who can't make it and who hasn't been asked yet. Add guests one at a time, pick them from your contacts or paste a whole list. Keep track of plus-ones, dietary needs, VIPs, co-hosts and vendors, set a capacity, and export the list when you need it.

ONE EVENT, SEVERAL FUNCTIONS
A wedding isn't one event. Give the mehendi, the sangeet, the ceremony and the reception their own time, place and guest list. Each function tracks its own replies, so you always know who's coming to what.

MONEY WITHOUT THE AWKWARD CONVERSATION
Log what things cost and who paid. Split a bill evenly or by percentage, record part payments and due dates, and set a budget to see how close you are. Gathr works out who owes who and keeps a record when people pay each other back. It never moves money — it just keeps the record straight.

PLAN IT IN MINUTES
Start from a template — wedding, birthday party, dinner party, game day, meetup, concert or conference — or from scratch. Add the date, the venue or a meeting link, choose who can see the event, and keep it as a draft until you're ready to publish.

ON THE DAY
Issue free tickets and check guests in at the door. Keep everyone in the loop with announcements, questions and polls in the event's activity feed. Add events to your calendar, get a reminder the day before, and keep the day's functions on your Lock Screen.

FIND YOUR WAY FASTER
• A new event opens as soon as you create it, ready for guests and invites.
• Drafts now appear in Events › My Events, not just on Home.
• Home templates fill in the event for you.
• A shorter welcome that explains what Gathr actually does.

INVITES THAT WORK FOR EVERYONE
• Email invites go out one by one with each guest's personal link, so guests without the app can still RSVP.
• "Remind pending" stays on the Guests tab after everyone has been invited.
• Send Invites is clearer: channel icons, how many guests each channel reaches, and which functions guests are added to.
• "Send Invites" on the event page picks only guests who haven't been asked yet.

FINANCE, FIXED UP
• In Balances, open a person, manage people or mark someone paid back without the sheet closing.
• The budget field types correctly, and every balance adds up.
• Solo hosts can log unpaid bills, and due dates read "today" and "tomorrow".
• Deleting an expense or a payment now asks first.

EVENT DAY
• Functions that run past midnight no longer show as "Past" before they start.
• Check In Guests is easier to find, with a clear message if camera access is off.
• My Tickets shows only your own tickets.
• "Show on Lock Screen" replaces "Go Live" and tells you when Live Activities are turned off.

The numbers lead. Tracking costs alone is a simple checklist — who-paid and splitting appear only when someone else chips in. Typing amounts works like a card terminal now: digits flow in, no cursor fights.

One clean list instead of a box per guest, filters that read quietly, and an invite button that counts exactly who still needs asking.

BETTER ON BIG SCREENS
Sign-in and onboarding sit in proper columns on iPad instead of stretching edge to edge.

Your events, easier to see.

Event pages now give the screen to the work. Open Guests or Finance and the content starts where you're looking, instead of below a full-size poster.

Guests, reorganised.
Multi-day events get a tab for each function — mehendi, ceremony, reception — so you can work through one guest list at a time instead of decoding labels crammed onto every name. Filters read clearly, nothing gets cut off, and the screen shows guests instead of buttons.

Finance is simpler.
One screen instead of two modes, with balances a tap away when you need them. Logging an expense now takes just the amount — a name is optional.

Gathr looks right on iPad.
Text and buttons sit in a comfortable column instead of stretching the full width of the display.

Upgrading is safe.
Events created in older versions come across intact.

Still completely free. No ads, no upgrades, no charges to you or your guests.

### 2.4.0 — 2026-08-04

Finance, rebuilt.

Split costs the way they actually happen. One person can pay for
something the whole group shares, or two people can split a single
bill — the photographer paid half by you, half by your sister. Every
expense now tracks who paid and who owes, separately, so nobody gets
told they're settled when they're still out of pocket.

Gathr works out who owes whom and shows the exact payments that
square everyone up. It never moves money — it just keeps the books.

Guests and invites
• Pick specific guests and send only them an invite

• The roster shows names, not email addresses
• The RSVP web page works in dark mode, says which function you're
  invited to, and no longer forgets your answer if sending fails

• Text is readable throughout — several labels were genuinely too
  faint to read, especially in dark mode
• Fixed guest actions that couldn't be tapped at all
• Fixed a privacy setting that was being ignored: hiding your guest

• Filter spending by function (mehndi, ceremony, reception…) to see exactly what each one costs.
• Fixed the budget math so "paid," "owed," and "who paid what" always add up.
