## What is GCBuddy?

GCBuddy is the perfect tool for the serious geocacher when solving multi-caches. With this application you can record all found values for A...Z and use them to automatically calculate new waypoint coordinates. The final cache coordinates are also calculated as soon as all required puzzles have been solved and entered. You can also record the exact spot where you parked your car or bike, so you can find it back after caching.

By far the best app I’ve found for doing multis. Also great for recording coordinates when setting up new caches.  The biggest letdown is the inability to filter found/unfound caches.

Wir nutzen die App schon seit Jahren gerne und häufig. Sie erleichtert nicht nur das Lösen von Multis, sondern ist eine exzellente Datenbank. Ein Fehler in einer Indexdatei hat wohl dazu geführt, dass alle (!) gespeicherten Caches weg waren. Dumm, wer da nichts gespeichert hat. So wie wir. Der Schreck war groß, aber der Support, den wir hier nutzten grandios! In einem regen Austausch per Mail, konnte der Fehler gefunden werden und… die über Jahre gesammelten Daten sind allesamt wieder da. Puhhh! Hier hat sich der Entwickler wirklich Zeit genommen und viel Unterstützung geleistet. Wir können die App und den Support bei Problemen nur empfehlen.

Ich benutze GCBuddy jetzt schon richtig lange und freue mich immer wieder, dass ich die Multirechnerei nicht auf dem Papier machen muss. 

Ganz toll finde ich einfach, dass die App nach all den Jahren immer noch gepflegt und weiterentwickelt wird. Danke!

### 5/5 — Für Planung und Multis ein Must-have für Geocacher

Ich benutze diese App schon seit langem und ich kann für meine Zwecke nichts besseres finden. Egal ob Caches oder Wegpunkte, alles wird super übersichtlich auf Karten dargestellt. Die automatische Berechnung von Wegpunkten bei Multis ist so umfangreich und leicht zu bedienen, so dass man sich hier das doch manchmal lästige Rechnen und besonders Rechenfehler erspart. Für Reisen kann das Ziel auch an Navi-Apps übergeben werden und so bequem Caches entlang der Route anfahren. 

Kontakt zum Entwickler war immer flott, kompetent und hilfsbereit! Danke für die Erleichterung beim Geocaching!

Nach einigen Updates in iOS wurde wenn Chrome der Standardbrowser war nicht das Listing in Browser geöffnet, kurze Mail an den Entwickler und zack war ein Update draußen! Perfekt - vielen Dank! Wo kann ich noch eine Option zur Unterstützung kaufen :-)

Ich nutze diese App schon lange um Multi Caches zu finden. Sie bietet alles, was man dafür braucht (oder brauchen könnte) und macht es einfach, im Feld zu navigieren, Informationen zu speichern, und Berechnungen vorzunehmen.

Eigentlich wäre die App damit volle fünf Sterne wert. Leider ist bei einem der letzten Updates ein eher lästiges Feature dazugekommen: Bei Annäherung an die Koordinaten spielt die App einen lauten und störenden Alarm mit dem man garantiert die Aufmerksamkeit aller Muggles auf sich lenkt. Bisher habe ich noch keine Möglichkeit gefunden, diesen Alarm zu deaktivieren. Wenn die kommt gibt’s auch den letzten Stern.

Edit: Danke für die schnelle Reaktion des Entwicklers: man kann den Ton doch deaktivieren, indem man „Trillen“ als Ton auswählt. Das ist zwar nicht gerade intuitiv (ich hatte unter diesem Begriff einen anderen Warnton erwartet...), führt aber zum Ziel. Damit gibt’s auch den versprochenen fünften Stern.

Wir benutzen die App schon seit vielen Jahren und sind absolut begeistert. Unsere Highlights sind:
- 26 Vordefinierte Variablen (A bis Z),
- Eingabe von Formeln, auch mit Variablen,
- Backup einzelner Caches per Mail, auch für Mitcacher,
- Bearbeitung einzelner Caches im Webbrowser,
- Hinzufügen von Notizen, z.B. Lösungswege bei Mysteries.
Wir kennen keine andere App mit allen diesen Highlights.
Auf unserer Wunschliste steht lediglich die Möglichkeit Ordner anzulegen, was bei zahlreichen Caches die Übersicht erhöhen würde.
