## What is G·Chord?

G·Chord is a chord-sheet and setlist app built for worship teams. Build your song library, set the keys your band actually plays in, and present chord charts on stage — without the bloat of apps designed for songwriters.

What it does
• Transpose any song to any key in one tap.
• Build setlists with per-song keys that match how your team plays each Sunday.
• Present mode: fullscreen chord sheet, auto-scroll, prev/next through your set.
• Tap any chord to see the guitar chord shape.
• Offline-first — your library stays on your device.

Team sync (optional)
• Share songs and setlists with up to 15 band members.
• Real-time cloud sync across iPhones in your worship team.
• Per-set arrangements and key changes everyone sees together.

Built for worship leaders, by a worship leader.

Privacy
G·Chord stores your songs and setlists on your device. If you create or join a team, an additional copy is stored in Google Firebase so your band can sync. We don't sell or share your data. Full policy at gchord.vercel.app/privacy

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.0 — 2026-08-15

What's new:

• Redesigned Home screen — see your library, setlists, and what's coming up at a glance, with just a gear icon for Account instead of tabs.

• "Up Next" now shows your nearest upcoming setlist right on Home — title, lead, song count, and one-tap Present. Got two services the same Sunday? Both show up, not just one.

• Daily Bible verse on Home — a short verse of encouragement each day (toggle on/off in Settings).

• Setlists can now list a "Lead" (worship leader), and you can edit a setlist's title, date, or lead anytime — not just when you create it.

• Reminders to help you prep: a midweek nudge if a setlist isn't created yet for Sunday, and a follow-up reminder to review the songs once it is (toggle in Settings → Notifications).

• Team notes now live in Account, with a quick preview of the latest note right on Home.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-07-27

What's New in 1.2.1

Chords, setlists, and team sync all got better this update:

• Chords match the key — no more odd spellings like Gb in the key of D; chords are now written correctly for the song's key, even after transposing.
• Better chord diagrams — tap any chord to see its shape, now including slash chords like A/C# with the correct bass note, plus more chord types (maj7, sus, add9, and more).
• Smarter team sync — teammates' changes now pull in automatically when you open the app or come back to it, so you're always on the latest version.
• Team notifications — get notified when someone adds or updates a song, posts a note, or creates a setlist.
• Faster, more reliable Google sign-in.
• Smoother setlists — quicker song-adding with clearer feedback, and various fixes and polish.

Thanks for using G·Chord!

### 1.2.0 — 2026-06-17

What's New in v1.2.0

- Fresh look, new tools — here's what's in this update:

Redesigned from the ground up. Every screen has been rebuilt with a new editorial "Print Shop" style — sharp type, bold stamp labels, and a dark Stage theme that looks great on any device.

- Import chords from a URL. Paste a link from Ultimate Guitar or any chord site — G·Chord pulls the title, artist, key, and chord chart and drops it right into the editor.

- Text size control. S / M / L buttons in the chord viewer let you pick the font size that works for your setup. The setting sticks across songs and carries over to Present mode.

Emoji avatars. Tap your avatar in Account to pick an emoji — it shows up in your team member list so everyone knows who's who.

- Team Notes notifications. When a teammate posts a sticky note, you'll get a push notification with their name and a preview of the note.

- Chord viewer improvements. Chords now wrap cleanly at any font size — no more horizontal scrolling, and chords always stay above their lyric word even when lines wrap.

- Bug fixes. Fixed a layout issue where letters appeared "above" their line on iOS for longer songs. Fixed offline startup losing your team. Fixed the song viewer header overlapping the status bar on iPhone.

### 1.1.3 — 2026-06-12

Bug fixes:

Deleted songs no longer appear in the picker
Tapping + to add a song no longer closes the sheet — you can add multiple songs in one go
Backdrop tap no longer closes the sheet — only swiping down the grabber does
"Done" button removed — swipe down to dismiss
Improvements:

Sheet is a fixed 92% height — doesn't shrink when filters reduce results
Default order is most recently added/updated song first
A–Z / Recent sort toggle — tap "A–Z" to sort alphabetically, tap "Recent" to go back to most-recently-updated order
Search bar — filter by song title or artist
Category filter pills — filter by category; only shows when songs have categories assigned
Only shows songs belonging to the active team (matches Library behavior)
Keyboard opening no longer pushes the sheet up

### 1.1.1 — 2026-06-10

New Feature — Team Notes

A shared feed per team where members can leave sticky notes for each other
3 sticky note colors, optional pin, author name on each note
Edit your own notes, delete any note
Activity is auto-logged when someone adds or updates a song
Preview card on the Account tab shows the latest note with an unread badge
Improvements

Upgrade screen redesigned with the 3 tier cards (Starter / Growth / Church) — informational only, no payments yet
Bug Fixes

Member names showing as random characters on a second team — fixed
Deleted songs coming back after sync (resurrection bug) — fixed
Members list sometimes needed a tab-switch to load — fixed (now uses a single batched Firestore query instead of N individual calls)
Firestore rules tightened/corrected for user profile reads
