## Newest reviews (5 of 25)

### 2/5 — No dark mode, but the app works

*2025-03-18*

^^^^^^

### 2/5 — Lacking many features

*2025-02-13*

Why no ability to bookmark sessions?

### 2/5 — Technically functional

*2024-03-21*

The app does an ok job displaying the full schedule and creating a personal schedule.

There are two main reasons for my 2 stars:
1) The app drains battery ridiculously fast. I have a brand new battery in my phone, and 20-30 minutes of looking through the schedule to plan my day took 25% of my battery. The battery usage data on the phone says that it used 45% of the charge and was open for 47 minutes total today.
2) The app forces a popup ad every single time the app is opened. Due to the battery issues, I closed the app a lot and it is very annoying to have a forced ad when I just want to check my schedule.

### 2/5 — Hard to filter My schedule

*2024-03-21*

Can’t locate current happening sessions in My schedule

### 2/5 — Notification options are limited to email.

*2024-03-19*

There are no settings to customize in-app notifications. This is critical for a busy conference like GDC.

When you open the schedule, it goes to beginning of the week. It should default to the current day and time.

Would be nice if full address wasn't visible to contacts by default.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App is sharing personal private information

*2026-03-02*

The app is sharing personal information to anyone you connect to with no way to prevent this since after you edit it, it then syncs with a server and reverts changes

### 1/5 — Nothing works

*2026-02-06*

Month out from the conference and I can’t see the sessions make a schedule or message people.

### 1/5 — Non functioning

*2025-03-19*

As of today completely non functional. Hopefully they will get it up & running?

### 1/5 — cant even see agenda

*2025-03-18, version 4.55.14*

poor app has nothing to do

### 1/5 — No font size confit

*2025-03-13*

Young programmers and UIX people under 40 don’t get that the font size must be customizable. Learn from Apple and Google. Don’t ignore system font size settings.

### 1/5 — Poor app

*2025-03-08*

Use the M2M instead

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2024-03-21*

Keeps logging me out. Back buttons take you to tops of long lists. Won’t clear my notifications. Filters logged me out. Has no facial recognition for logging in. Puts up an ad every time I do log in, can’t seem to close it manually.

### 1/5 — Awful UI; security issues

*2024-03-10*

This is a terrible app and I wish GDC didn’t use it.

Navigating the app is hilariously bad. The UI is clunky and doesn’t retain information it claims to have saved. I feel like this app (and this conference) doesn’t understand the average attendee for their own event.

More egregiously, this app has been known for revealing the personal information (address, phone number etc) of their attendees across multiple years. This is a massive security risk and I highly suggest scrubbing your personal data and using the website for scheduling and LinkedIn for networking.

### 2/5 — Terrible app bad Ui

*2026-03-11*

This app is a dumpster fire, it’s impossible to search for anything, the Home Screen is a faq page with no options, and nothing works as intended. Viewing schedule kind of works so I give 2/5 Star

### 2/5 — Hard to use effectively

*2026-02-18*

Very clunky and hard to find things.
Also highly annoying that they don’t allow you to view your own schedule per-day. The only way you can view your calendar is the entire thing , and you have to scroll way,way down to look at anything later in the week

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Perfection

*2026-02-12*

Always my go-to for scheduling which talks and events I’m going to attend! Super simple to use, navigate, and connect with every single year. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Very useful

*2024-03-22*

Just would like to see more atendees and expositors use it fully.

### 5/5 — New to GDC

*2024-03-19*

Very impressed by the app and how accessible everything is. I just wish there was more of me to see it all!

### 5/5 — Improved

*2024-03-18*

Not terrible

### 5/5 — Great UI

*2024-03-18, version 4.40.40*

Perfect for GDC first timers!

### 4/5 — Over designed and under functional

*2026-03-10*

Let’s start with where are some brand graphics for attendees social media? That should be front and center, easy to use portrait graphics for attendees to drop their headshots or logos on that they can use on their socials to announce their attendance. Too many talks are over capacity, seems like they didn’t plan well enough.

### 4/5 — Failure to update

*2025-03-23*

I am so happy there is an app, finding my way around as a first time GDC attendee was significantly improved with the app. That said, I kept getting my first day of “my events” and not “latest” or even “current time” events. I understand
in the “build my” why you move to the next hour, when “my events” is stuck on Tuesday though the “build my” is the easier menu to see relevant events I might want to join, easily. The SxSW app was better, and it also had issues.

I realize that “when” it “where” of events is not something that is well known as early as badge purchase, letting me know though that the sessions I wanted to attend were in core, and not available on expo at the time I pre-registered, or even that there was an upgrade option until Friday was a failure in communication to customers. I was informed I could purchase individual sessions when I realized I wanted to go to core, not until Friday though did any of the orange shirts inform me I could update from expo to core. Best would be to see examples of class structures when I pre-order my badge, better would be class descriptions that are known, even if times or rooms or both are unknown. I would give the expo badge and selling me a product a 2 star, the review is of the app though, and it qualifies for 4 stars.

### 3/5 — Basic functionality not done well

*2025-03-21*

Needs usability tuning on iOS. Agenda view is very poor. Can’t filter, hide past sessions etc.

Real basic stuff to get wrong

### 3/5 — Data confidentiality

*2024-03-20*

Cannot seem to remove my email/phone number from my profile. Have notifications I cannot clear.

Otherwise seems ok.

### 3/5 — Annoying ad

*2024-03-18*

The app is pretty functional but the ads are annoying when you’re trying to manage your schedule.
