I so enjoyed the original game “Gears”, I played the game through over and over again till an update made it unplayable. The developer refused to fix the game.
I was very excited when I found “Gears Forever”, however, game play is not the same. Now it is geared (pun intended) to make you spend money, not geared for fun play.
There are no controls for music or game sounds.
Very disappointed.

The physics seem off and game control is not as fluid and smooth the the original. No option to play without being timed (likely because you can pay for lives). Game no longer makes you want to play for an extended period of time. At most you get 7-8 minutes of enjoyable gameplay then move on.

I literally had an ad cut on in the middle of the game while the timer was going. Immediate uninstall for me.

Graphics are dope, but there’s no sense of momentum and even on my 15 pro max it stutters and lags constantly. Objectively not super playable.

Overall not really the same as the game this is remaking. Feels worse to me. The best they can do is go back and add more levels to the old “gears”, now taken over by game club. So if you like the concept of this version, go play gears by game club instead

And dumb. If you go backwards you can fall infinitely until time’s up. This means you can get incredible scores. My score is more than 103,000. Also, is there even a speed cap? Overall it is glitchy but fun to fool around with for a few minutes, which is exactly what I came for.

Game is fun and extremely nerve racking when you are teetering right along the edge of playing or falling, all in all it kept me wanting to go back and try again each time I’d fall or run out of time.

I very much so enjoy the game. From the graphics to the controls are too notch- tho I have experienced some problems in the couple hours I e been playing. First off. Random lag spikes mess with the flow so bad it’s incredibly frustrating & the movements aren’t entirely accurate. With that being said I’ll still give it 5 stars. Just wish these things will get fixed - also. This game is everything monkey ball iOS should have been
