I played it back in the "old days" and just remembered it out of the blue. I just wish I could buy the whole game ONE time, and not have to subscribe to GameClub. I don't intend to play other GameClub games, just Gears and I don't want to pay for games I don't think I'll play. Even if we could subscribe for this one game it would be better than having to buy ALL the games. Or something where you watch ads (maybe 2-3) to unlock a level which stays unlocked for a period of time, maybe a few hours. I would be fine with that. Sad, because it's such a great game, but I don't want to buy an auto-renewing subscription for one game any more than I would buy Netflix for one movie. ### 3/5 — fun but a rip off *2021-12-25* this game is very fun but you must pay to go on and in the old tome you didint had to so i think they should take it off that but i still think is fun i have been playing this with my cousin since i was small and you dint had to pay so they should take the payment out and let be free so its more fun and better but i think that this agme is still fun ### 3/5 — Ever so often I remember this game *2021-07-22* It's not bad. I’m thankful this game is still on the app store but i’m sad that i have to pay to play the whole game. I think I would, and other people would, enjoy the game when it is completely free to play. More like ruin what you touch club. I got this game, when it was free, many years ago and now I have to pay for something I’ve already played? This is against Apple TOS, and it’s a scam. Deleted... ### 1/5 — I delightedly spent DAYS playing this on my original iPad BUT... *2020-12-25* ...it was bought, originally, as a one time purchase. The sale and subsequent “subscription revenue model” for game club are a deal breaker for me. Not because I object to subscribing, outright, but because of the sense of a broken promise. Once sold as an indefinite license, it should remain an indefinite license. I have a budget for subscriptions and I’m not spending that budget on anything that breaks a promise. Because ... why would I? The number one issue with subscription models is trust, and if the trust is already broken from the outset, that’s a problem. There are ways to rework this such that purchasers of the original game aren’t forced into the subscription. It’s implementable in the AppStore, and I’ve seen it work. This then constitutes an unforced error on Game Club’s part, having purchased it from the former developer. ### 1/5 — Worst game ever *2016-12-29, version 1.4* Worst game ever. Don't get this. However, not too long after I first beat it way back when, an update made a whole bunch of levels broken and unbeatable or even playable. I can’t thank you all enough for actually fixing this classic gem and restoring a part of my early tweens. ### 5/5 — Amazing game *2019-10-28* This was a great game many years ago. Now they've updated it for the latest devices and the graphics look sharper than ever. Great tilt-based gameplay. Like labyrinth but much more epic graphics!
