## What is GeckoImage?

Same spot. One shot each. Take turns.

"Stand here and shoot it like this."
Hand the photo over, and let your partner, your dad, your kid
line up the very same frame.

Gecko Image stacks the two photos and scores how closely
the second one matched the first, from 0 to 100.


■ Take turns, then compare scores

One person shoots first. That photo becomes the reference.
The next person sees it laid over the camera and hunts for the same spot.

Who got closer? The score says so.
Run the same reference again and again and the attempts stack up,
1st, 2nd, 3rd, so you can see exactly who is catching up.


■ Overlay the two and judge for yourself

Stack both photos and slide between them.
Press and hold to see the shot you just took, alone.
Turn on difference mode and only the parts that missed will glow.

Don't take the number on faith. Look.


■ Line it up while you shoot

The reference photo is laid over the camera preview.
Choose full overlay, a small floating card, or hidden.
Drag, pinch and rotate it, and set the opacity to taste.

A guide frame with the reference photo's aspect ratio is drawn on the preview,
and your shot is cropped to exactly that frame.
What you lined up is what gets scored.


■ Old photos work too

That photo from years ago, your parents' album,
a scene from an anime. Any of them can be the reference.

A flat-shaded drawing and a real photograph look nothing alike,
and morning, evening and overcast light look nothing alike either.
None of that matters.
If the buildings, the ridgeline and the horizon sit in the same place
with the same shape, the score is high.
Brightness and colour are only 5% of it.


■ People are scored too, expression included

Face position and size, head direction, and the expression itself.
If the expression doesn't match, the total is held below the top bands,
and you get a specific instruction: "close your mouth a little more."

Front camera and a self-timer (3s, 10s) are supported,
so two people can shoot without a tripod.


■ It tells you why

Outline shape 45%, outline position 30%, overall composition 20%, colour 5%

Every sub-score is shown with the arithmetic behind it,
along with what to do next.

"Pan the camera slightly left. You framed more of the right side
than the reference did."


■ Keep a record, share the win

Try the same reference again and again, and the attempts stack up
as a score progression: 1st, 2nd, 3rd.

The result card, both photos side by side with the score on top,
is rendered at 4:5, the aspect feeds handle best, and shares straight
to Instagram, Messages or anywhere else from the system share sheet.

Saving is a choice too: the result card, the two photos blended
into one, or both originals separately.


■ Your photos never leave the device

Every comparison runs on your iPhone, and your photos and scores
are never uploaded anywhere. No account, no sign-in.

The only thing the app ever sends is a crash report, if it crashes.

Picking a reference photo from your library needs no photo permission at all.
Add-only access is requested only when you save a result to Photos.
