## What is Gedo?

Gedo is a personal AI that remembers your life — and because it knows you, it can actually help with it.
Most AI meets you at the moment you ask a question. It never sees the rest: the goal you have been circling for months, the reason last week went sideways, what you are actually trying to optimize for. Gedo starts from the other end. It gathers what matters into a memory that belongs to you, and reads it before every reply.
WHAT IT DOES FOR YOU
Turn what you want into today's one step
A year-end goal feels far away. Gedo breaks it into milestones, then into one thing you can finish today. Your pace and your own reviews are part of the plan.
Weigh big choices by your own ledger
A new offer, a possible move, a hard conversation. Gedo reads your past reviews and goals first, then lays out both sides by your priorities. Every reference has a source you can open.
Even a passing remark is remembered for you
What matters in what you say goes into your memory. When Gedo answers, its citations point back to where they came from — nothing is invented on your behalf.
A brief that is yours alone
Each morning opens with today's focus, what moved yesterday, and the one thing worth protecting time for.
YOUR MEMORY, STRUCTURED
Profile — who you are right now, kept current as things change.
Memories — moments and facts, organized by area of life and importance.
Life flower — eight areas of life, scored from real signals in your record rather than a mood slider.
Codex — the people, places and things in your life, and how your connection to them changes.
Reviews — weekly and monthly reflections that feed back into the plan.
The longer you use it, the less you have to explain yourself.
IT STAYS YOURS
Export everything, any time, in an open format.
Pause long-term memory whenever you want.
Exclude any single memory from AI context.
Delete your account and everything in it from inside the app.
GEDO does not replace the tools you already use. It stands in the middle, so what it knows about you can travel with you.

### 5/5 — Best as a personal notepad that talks back

*2026-08-19*

I don’t use this to ask random questions. I use it to capture the day, keep a thread on my actual life, and get a morning brief that isn’t generic. After a couple of weeks the memory actually shows up in answers, with sources, which I trust more than a chatbot that “remembers” vaguely. Still keep another app for research and drafting. For a private assistant, this is the one I’ve stuck with.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.8.0 — 2026-10-10

Gedo has a new design built around conversation. Your roles, chats and memory are a tap apart, and the other AI tools you use can work from the same memory.

New design
• Open the menu (top left) to see your roles in one column. Tap one to talk to it right where you are, and tap its name at the top to open its role panel.
• Context shows what the current conversation is drawing on.
• All chats are grouped by role.
• Buttons, menus and floating controls pick up a translucent glass finish, and Settings is shorter.
• Every role has its own robot. Tap it at the top of a new chat to change its look: Top, Face, Neck, Color and Vibe. The look follows your account, on the web too.

iPhone Duo
• Gedo fills both screens. Closed, it keeps clear of the camera and status bar on the side. Open it sideways and pages split at the fold: the chat beside its Context, your day beside Focus now, your profile beside your Life flower.

Connections
• Connections in the menu brings four tabs together: Shared memory, Services, Skills and Passport.
• Shared memory: pick an AI assistant, a coding tool or a cloud agent you use, and follow the steps to connect it. It reads your Gedo memory within the scope you set, and sensitive memories stay out by default.
• To-dos another AI suggests pass through your intake rules before they reach Action.
• Services adds more than twenty connectors for calendars, notes, tasks and meetings.
• Your skills and authorizations moved to Skills.
• Move from another AI brings over what another assistant knows about you in about a minute.

First meeting and Briefing
• First meeting is back, in six steps. Only your name is required, and what you mention in chats counts toward it.
• At 100%, your briefing turns on. It arrives each day at the time you choose, outside your chats. Change the delivery time and areas from the gear on the Briefing page.
• Reviews follow calendar weeks, months and years.
• Notifications are split into Needs you and Activity.

Goals
• Each goal now has Activity: finished to-dos, work done by Gedo and progress you log, in order. Files Gedo made for it are under Deliverables.

Twin model
• Gedo can draft replies and messages in your voice. It learns only from what you wrote yourself, and you decide whether each draft goes out.

Avatar
• Visitors can call your avatar from its public page, or dial a US number: a shared number with an extension, or a dedicated number on Ultra.
• You choose who can call in: everyone, a passcode, or allowed numbers. What is said stays in that visitor's session.

Calls
• Calls move to a new voice line that answers faster and sounds more natural. Pick a voice in Call settings, and the camera works too.

Fixes
• Links in replies open only web pages and email, so tapping one can no longer start a phone call or open another app.
• Messages such as "Review generated" show again after an action finishes.
• VoiceOver can now reach the buttons inside chat cards.
• On Apple Watch, Accept on a delegated task works again.

### 1.7.0 — 2026-09-27

Gedo moves onto your home screen, and your goals get numbers you can move.

Home screen widgets (new)
• Today: what is still open and your next reminder. Tap a circle to check a to-do off without opening the app. It works on the lock screen too.
• Companion: one line from your Chat home, a finding or a greeting, with Talk and Type one tap away. Talk starts listening as soon as it opens.
• Quick log: the four things you log most. Tap one to open its entry form. For things you count, like glasses of water, tap +1 right on the widget.
• Goals: where your active goals stand and how many linked to-dos are done. Touch and hold the widget to pick which goals it shows.
• Eight dimensions: where the eight areas of your life stand, and which way they moved lately.
• Widgets follow your account's language and are on every plan.

Goals
• Up to three goals sit in Focus now. Other goals take one line each, and ended goals fold away.
• Give each key result a measure: checklist, count, number or percent, and log progress as you go.
• When a goal's period ends, you see how it went and can generate a review for that goal alone.
• To-do cards show which goal they move and by how much.

To-dos
• Tap + in Action to turn one sentence into a to-do: "tomorrow 3pm call HR #singapore !high 30m" gets a date, a reminder, a goal, a priority and a duration.
• Repeating to-dos: every day, weekdays, every week, 3 times a week, or custom. One card shows how many are done this week.
• To-dos without a date sit under Unscheduled instead of counting as today's. Rescheduling offers Today as well.

Records
• Custom forms: choose the fields, options, what the stats use and reminders, and make a record type of your own. Or start from a preset such as Running & workouts, Sleep or Blood pressure.
• Start from a template brings built-in notebooks, preset forms and a blank form together in one place.
• You can ask your companion to set one up. It shows you the form first and creates it only when you tap to confirm.
• Only checklists get check-offs. Subscriptions, bills and the like end with their own word, such as Canceled or Paid.
• Cards are grouped by type: people, pets & things, places & orgs, and events.

Memory
• Tap + in Memory and use Quick note to save one sentence to Memory. Tap More details for the full form.
• Your profile is shorter: each card shows a few key facts, and the full text is one tap deeper.
• The eight-dimension trend now lives in Memory, findings show on your Chat home, and reviews are in Action.

Chat
• Touch and hold text in a reply to select it, then copy it, look it up, translate it, search the web, or share it.

Digital persona
• A new Permissions page: choose who can chat with your persona (public, passcode, or only people you know), what each circle can know about you, which memories it may use, and the principles it answers by.
• Visitor view shows what each circle would see. Ask a question as them and hear how your persona would answer.
• Hard limits are always on, whatever you set: imported content, anything marked private or sensitive, and memories hidden from AI never go out.

Calls
• After a call, a line like "Voice call · 03:12" stays in the chat. Tap View to see what was said.
• Talk to interrupt: choose Auto, On or Off in Call settings. On Auto, you can cut in when it is quiet; when it is noisy around you, only a tap or "wait" stops it.

Fixes
• Canceling the share sheet for a personal invite link no longer freezes the screen.
• When the connection drops and comes back, your question is no longer sent twice.

### 1.6.0 — 2026-09-25

Gedo talks back now — and it is on your wrist.

Calls (new)
• Talk to Gedo instead of typing. It answers out loud, and what it says is captioned line by line as it speaks.
• Turn on the camera and show it something. It takes a look the moment you speak, and nothing is recorded or kept. Your own picture sits in the corner while the camera is on.
• It comes to the call with your memory already in hand, so you are not re-explaining yourself.
• Ask it to handle something while you are still talking — a to-do, a look-up — and it tells you when that lands.
• Hang up and a recap is waiting: what you talked about, what got done, what is still running, and what needs you.
• Calls draw on the same credits as everything else in your plan. There is no separate minute allowance.

Apple Watch (new)
• Today: what is still open, and one tap to mark it done. Anything Gedo finished for you waits under "Ready for you", and you can accept it from the watch.
• The watch schedules the day ahead of reminders on itself, so the reminders you set still ring when your iPhone is not with you.
• Act straight from the notification: Done, Snooze 15m, or dictate a note without opening anything.
• Talk to Gedo from your wrist. Swipe to pick who you are asking — your companion or one of your roles — then tap the mic or the keyboard. Answers are short, in your account's language.
• Recent conversations are one turn of the crown away, so you can pick one up where it stopped.
• On your watch face: how many are left, and what rings next.
• Connecting takes one step. Open Gedo on the watch, then type the six characters it shows into Settings › Apple Watch on your iPhone.
• The watch gets a pass of its own. The one on your phone never leaves your phone, and disconnecting signs out the watch only.
• The mic records only after you tap it and stops when you tap again. The audio is turned into text and then discarded; nothing is captured in the background. Choose whether answers are read aloud.
Requires watchOS 10 or later.

Memory passport
• One screen for everyone holding a key: apps you authorized, and tokens you pasted yourself. Either can be cut at any time.
• "See what they can read" shows the rows an app actually gets — the same read path, not an approximation of it.
• Deleting and exporting now leave a receipt you can look back at.
• Memories you told Gedo to stop bringing up stay out of every recall path, and you can put them back later.

To review
• Accept or discard a whole group at once, instead of one row at a time.

Action
• Swiping a to-do shows what it is about to do, and the row closes before the change is sent.
• On a long to-do, "Done" wraps onto its own line instead of being pushed off the card.
• Today and History now split at your own midnight, so finishing something early in the morning no longer makes it disappear from Today.
• Sending in a to-do's shared conversation no longer flashes the screen blank.

Also fixed
• On some networks, iPhone no longer reports itself as offline when it is not.
• Settings no longer shows switches for notifications that are not being sent.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-09-14

This release is about getting around: where you are, and how you get back.

A new side drawer
• The drawer opens across most of the screen and slides the page aside. Tap the part of the page still showing to close it.
• Text in the drawer is larger, and search now lives in your full chat list.
• Your avatar and "New chat" float at the bottom, over the list. Pro and Ultra show as a soft glow around your avatar.
• Tap your avatar and "Settings" opens as a card on top of the drawer. Close it and you are back in the drawer, still open.

Going back works the same everywhere
• Pages you open slide in from the side. On iPhone, swipe from the left edge to go back. On Android, back goes back one step at a time.
• Every back button looks and works the same, and sheets such as "To review" have a close button you can see.
• Headers are a single row. Choices like "Today", "Upcoming" and "History" sit at the top of the page, and swiping sideways no longer flips between them.
• Archived chats are now a view at the top of your chat list, not a row at the bottom.

Action reads like an agenda
• In "Upcoming" and "History", each day's label sits beside its first card: Today, Tomorrow or the weekday, with the date underneath.
• A to-do's scheduled time is in its details line. The day headers with item counts are gone, so more cards fit on one screen.
• "Goals" moved into the ⋯ menu.

Memory, one screen at a time
• Memory opens on your profile. "Memories", "Life" and "Knowledge" each have their own screen, listed in a card right below it.
• Filters are in one sheet behind the "Filter" button, so your first memory starts much higher on the screen.
• Long-press a chat in your list to review the whole thing. What it finds goes to "To review", grouped under "Chat reviews", and anything a review saved automatically can be undone in one go.
• When a recalled memory came from a chat review, it says so.

Records
• Every page in Records has "Import" in its ⋯ menu, and "Analyze" once the page has entries.
• Import: paste text, or pick a screenshot or a file. The rows come back as a list, and you save the ones you keep checked.
• Analyze: ask a question about the page. Every number comes from the page's own totals; the model only explains them.
• Charts place each entry on its real date, so you can see the gaps between entries.
• Rows say "Today", "Yesterday" or "3 days ago", and long names are no longer cut short.
• A series like weight no longer flags every entry as a possible duplicate. If you logged the same thing twice in one day, a single note names those days.

In chat
• Documents Gedo writes for you open in a reader inside the app. Tap "Open" on the card.
• Roles have icons, and you can pick one when you create or edit a role.

Fixes
• On some older accounts, the home screen opened empty except for "Load earlier messages". It opens normally now.
• Tapping the bell in the side drawer seemed to do nothing, because its page opened behind the drawer. It works now.
• Your profile shows words where it sometimes showed internal codes.
• Memory cards show the category name, such as Career, instead of a raw tag.
• In dark mode, status lines under "Needs you" in Action, and placeholder role icons, were black on a dark background. They are readable now.
• English labels in settings, page titles, profile rows, buttons and status chips are shorter, so they no longer crowd or get cut off.

Also
• Payments through a connected service, such as settling an invoice, now always wait for you on a card that shows the amount and who gets paid, even for a service you have allowed to act on its own. If the amount cannot be read, the card says so.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-09-11

This release is about one question: why did it say that?

Every answer can be opened up
• Above a reply, "Recalled 3 memories" opens into the actual entries it read — where each came from, and who said it. Anything with a source opens the original.
• Wrong? Mark it wrong, and your correction replaces the old entry instead of piling a second version on top of it.
• Say "don't remember this" and it stays gone. It will not be written back in later.
• Material you file as sensitive is never sent to the model at all.
• Entries that were replaced or have expired say so on the card, rather than quietly sitting there looking current.
• Your export carries all of this with it.

Voice works on phones without a speech engine
• Some Android phones ship without any speech recognizer. Those now record instead, and the audio is transcribed and deleted — nothing is kept.
• Phones that do have one still recognize on the device, with words appearing as you speak.
• When it does not work, it now says which kind of not working: it did not catch that, there is no connection, or this phone has no recognizer. Until now every one of those read as "not supported".

The interface has been redrawn
• Corner radii, type sizes and colors are one system across every screen now.
• Headers are quiet: one bell instead of four, and the "+" is gone — a new to-do or a quick note goes through the box at the bottom, the same place you type everything else.
• The composer opens when you focus it and folds away when you are done, so the message you are reading is not fighting a toolbar for space.
• "Created a to-do", "read your memory" and the like no longer take a green box each. They fold into one line — open it if you want the steps.
• New app icon and wordmark.

Android fixes
• Speech failures were silent. They are not anymore.
• Typing in the composer could crash the app.
• With the keyboard open, anchored menus flew off the top of the screen.
• Opening the drawer now puts the keyboard away.

Also
• The main chat is clear of automated posts. The daily brief no longer writes into it, and receipts from automated work go to your inbox instead.
• A delegation you sent out shows who has it and how far it got. If it sits untouched for three days, you get one reminder.
• Usage now says your allowance resets at the start of the month, which is what it has always actually done.
• Locked out? You can now open a support ticket without signing in.
