## What is GeekScan?

GeekScan is a fast, offline-first tool for barcode scanning, text recognition, and barcode generation, designed for users who value accuracy, control, and structured data processing.
All features run locally on the device with no internet connection required, no tracking, and no ads.

Supports scanning a wide range of common barcode and QR code formats, including QR, Aztec, Data Matrix, PDF417, Micro QR, Code 128, Code 39, Code 93, Codabar, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-E, ITF, GS1 DataBar series, MSI Plessey, and more.
Supported barcode formats and recognition performance may vary depending on the device and system version.

In this update:
1. Redesigned the “Ask each time” screen on the Scan tab, with a layout optimized for landscape iPhone use. It is now the default when you open the app. You can scan codes, use text recognition, create barcodes, and more without turning on the camera, and import images from Photos or Files. If you already changed Default at launch in Settings › Recognition, your choice stays the same.
2. Updated localization in several areas across the app.
3. Improved the text recognition settings UI: added a Mirror option for images and refined some controls and descriptions.

1. Fixed a bug in the text recognition settings page where "Standard" mode could produce incorrect results when CJK text was mixed with other languages.
