I don’t have notifications on and only used the app for 27 minutes in the same 24 hours. I noticed a battery drain a couple of days ago but hadn’t pinned it down to the app until today when the same thing occurred. There is something going on that needs to be immediately looked at. ### 1/5 — View Settings - Change Reader Setting🧑‍🔧👩‍🔧 *2024-05-14* Previous setting worked well before the last few upgrades. Now you have to go into the change reader settings every time you read the paper to remove the view settings from the bottom of the page because the auto hide function only works once on iPads. ### 1/5 — Broken app no support offered *2024-01-16, version 9.2.3* I pay a $30 monthly subscription through iTunes but that only allows me to read the articles. You can not make a comment. Phoning the help numbers gets some call centre that knows nothing. Terribly slow when I can. Most days I can’t be bothered to even try now. Spoke to support and they informed there is an issue at their end. I asked for a credit given I had not received a service for 2 days and was informed they could not provide a credit as it is a digital subscription. ### 1/5 — VERY POOR APP *2018-04-24, version 6.9* I had a paid subscription to the Geelong Advertiser and was very happy with it until I updated to this app. I couldn’t get back to my subscription and have now cancelled my subscription completely and will not renew it until this app is replaced. It simply won’t let me sign in to my account on my iPad Pro. I can’t use the app. I have tried everything including contacting support. THE LAST UPDATE HAS STILL NOT RESOLVED THE SERIOUS BATTERY DRAIN THAT HAS AFFECTED THE APP SINCE THE PREVIOUS ONE. IF I DO NOT CLOSE DOWN THE APP EACH TIME I COME BACK TO A FLATTENED BATTERY. COME ON THIS SHOULD BE STANDARD STUFF TO FIX - AND DON’T FORGET I AM PAYING TO READ THIS NEWSPAPER. If you print out those two now they are the same size as in the paper which is too small. Here’s hoping you can fix this.
