Also is not working properly. I cant se my inside camera since last Up-Date ### 3/5 — Why change the list? *2026-08-22, version 5.0.0* After the upgrade, there is no list of devices - instead it’s a bunch of tiles/cards. This makes it more difficult to find what you want, especially if you’re trying to turn things on and off in the middle of the night. It’s been updated and I have to learn how to use it all over again and then it takes 2 to 3 steps to complete an action that previously only took one. Tell me how this makes this app more efficient please. I’m so sick of these developers always trying to revise but doing revisions that don’t make any sense!! Please give me the 4.0 version back. The app was just perfect before when you can just open it and have all the devices there and could tap on the square and control it. NOW you have to open room, open the device THEN control it. I had 15 devices setup with multiple custom scenes that took a lot of time to create when the devices were implemented. It’ll always catch vehicle driving by in the background but it won’t always catch movements near home, particularly when people are helping themselves to our stuff. I had considered subscribing to the cloud storage because SD cards aren’t that great. But the ads changed my mind. I’m not going to spend money on a service that spams me. Also, lately I haven’t had a great experience with the product itself. A camera that has inside had broken. So I contacted Geeni customer service. it took them 2 MONTHS to send me a replacement which broke within 2 days of arriving. I’m not going to bother wrestling with customer service again. I probably wouldn’t recommend Geeni mainly because of the ads. PLEASE TEMOVE THEM!!!!! Good picture quality for the most part. Only thing I don’t like is it freezes a lot and gets very glitchy at times. It does glitch and say videos are done today and stop playback. ### 5/5 — Expect headaches, short product lifespans and degrading app functionality *2025-09-20, version 4.0.5* Geeni tends to be less expensive than the competition, but their plugs only last about 2 years and bulbs will die within 1.5 years if in an enclosed lamp (flush mount ceiling, etc). This is conveniently just outside their warranty window They've also changed over time - now plugs always revert to ON after a power outage instead of the last power state or OFF - frustrating if attached to a light or air filter in the middle of the night The bulbs also suffer from reduced functionality over time - their full color products used to be able to shift between 'white' and 'color' modes via smart scenes (as well as brightness levels) - but that's no longer a thing for newly manufactured lights Whenever a power outage occurs (no matter how brief), the flicker mimics their factory reset trigger and I'm forced to spend over an hour to reconfigure all bulbs in Geeni Rooms, Groups, Smart Scenes, Device List Ordering, and Amazon Alexa groups/settings.
