See something you can’t read? See it in English. GEESI helps you understand the letters, forms, school notices, menus, signs and other written things you meet every day. Point your iPhone camera at text to see it in English, or scan an entire page for a translation, a plain-English explanation and the key details you may need to act on. LIVE CAMERA TRANSLATION Hold your iPhone over a sign, menu, label or notice and see English appear over the written text. Switch between English, Original and Both views whenever you want to compare what you’re reading. Live camera translation is included with GEESI Free. DOCUMENT MODE Scan a letter, bill, form, school notice or other document. You can also import supported photos, screenshots and PDFs. GEESI translates the page so you can read it calmly and at your own pace. Choose Natural English for easier reading or Literal English when you want wording that stays closer to the original. EXPLAIN — WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? Translation tells you what the words say. Explain helps you understand what they mean. Get a short, plain-English explanation of the page and what it may be asking you to do. Especially useful for school notices, appointment letters, workplace documents and official correspondence. KEY DETAILS YOU CAN CHECK GEESI can identify useful details already written on the page, including dates, deadlines, amounts and actions. Each detail links back to the passage it came from, so you can check the source yourself. If the answer isn’t on the page, GEESI tells you: “This page doesn’t say.” No guessing. ASK THIS PAGE Ask questions about what you scanned: “When is this due?” “What do I need to bring?” “Does this mention a fee?” “What am I being asked to do?” Answers are grounded in what the page actually says. 40 LANGUAGES → ENGLISH GEESI translates text from 40 supported languages into English, including Spanish, French, Arabic, Hebrew, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Urdu, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Swahili, Amharic and many more. GEESI can automatically detect the source language, so you usually don’t have to choose one first. BUILT WITH PRIVACY IN MIND GEESI is designed to minimize what leaves your device. Camera video remains on your iPhone. Where supported, text recognition is performed on-device. Extracted text may be securely processed by GEESI’s translation services to provide the English translation and requested understanding features. Saved translations remain on your device and can be opened without an internet connection. Use Private Scan when you don’t want a translation added to your history. MORE HELPFUL TOOLS • Hear the English translation read aloud • Compare Original and English side by side • Correct text that wasn’t read clearly • Save translations you may need again • Share a clean English version • Export supported translations as PDF A NOTE ON ACCURACY Machine-generated translations and explanations can contain errors.
