Die Gelsenkirchener Kindertagesbetreuung ist der Träger der städtischen Ta-geseinrichtungen für Kinder in Gelsenkirchen. Mit der GeKita-App können die Familien und Einrichtungen ohne lange Umwege und datenschutzkonform di-gital in Kontakt treten.  In der App finden Familien aktuelle Informationen, An-gebote der Kita und Anregungen für Zuhause. Außerdem können sie sich mit anderen Familien und den Kitas austauschen. Die Nutzung der App ist für die Familien kostenfrei und freiwillig.
Eine gesonderte Übersetzungsfunktion hilft in allen Bereichen, einen reibungs-losen Austausch zu ermöglichen. Die GeKita-App bietet zudem weitere Infor-mationen und Anmeldeoptionen, an verschiedenen Angeboten der Familien-zentren teilzunehmen.

Die „App“ ist eigentlich nur ein Browser auf die Seite. Beim Start kommt oft „Es ist etwas schiefgelaufen“. 
Seiten laden teilweise nicht. Die Hilfe Seite geht ebenfalls nicht - es wird eine Webseite geöffnet die aber so nicht existiert.
Auch der Stil der App passt gar nicht zu iOS.

Es gibt deutlich bessere Kita-Apps. Schade, dass die Stadt hier auf eine eigen Entwicklung setzt und nicht auf bestehende und gute gute Lösungen setzt.
