After updating the app and opening the app, it stuck with “Please update your app to keep sharing with your partner “. The same is persisting even after updating in my parter’s app

This app is mostly very easy to use, and laid out fairly well. It took a lot of initial work to get things set up the way I would use them — some things feeling unintuitive (wallets vs categories vs accounts as an example). The main reason I wanted to use this app was tracking finances with my wife. Unfortunately, the sync seems to be pretty broken. It works for a day or two, then completely breaks and becomes disconnected. She then has to delete the app, redownload, and reconnect just to sync changes. That will not work long term so I am looking for an alternative for us. I realize that feature is in beta, but it doesn’t really work at all.

Excellent UI and easy to use but needs to get more optimised on iPad and mac (I didn’t get a full screen view on my iPad xD). Kindly add archive feature so that I could archive my unused bank account and still view its transactions without deleting the account. Also my app icon isn’t changing from emerald to sapphire :(

When I saw the 29¢ price and no data collected, I purchased Gem instantly. Honestly I just wanted to support a dev who makes a clean looking app and doesn’t charge $15 a month. 

Then I was blown away by the quality, like this is a really, REALLY well done app. For a lot of apps I think the terms simple and minimal sometimes gets used as an excuse to have bad UX, missing features, or an ancient UI. This app however is simple in concept, simple to use, but feels well thought out, very complete, and like it had real effort put into its functionality and appearance. 

Edit as of Sep-2025:
App is continually getting improved and just got a huge update including things I requested. This app is so good that it is single-handedly keeping me on iPhone when I want to swap to android. GOAT developer,  and this app is the best kept secret on the entire App Store as far as I’m concerned. ❤️

It's the best simple and intuitive app for logging expenses. However, there are some bugs, such as disappearing icons and occasional crashes.
AI should be integrated more into the app, and logging should be more automated. Google Pay integration in India should also be implemented.
This app is better than most complex applications, but there is still room for improvement.

Came over from Dime because it hasn’t been updated in a year.

I was able to import all the data from Dime and everything lined up for the most part except some categories and the descriptions/note. 

The UI is a bit all over the place compared to Dime but I will get used to it.

Overall it is a good app.

EDIT: I found a bug where my category budgets seem to randomly change by themselves, I don’t understand why. (This is in addition to other bugs/suggestions I have sent the dev over email)

The remaining budget always shows wrong - there is always a mismatch between the widget and in app data . Still no fixes . Not recommended as of march 27,2025

I purchased this app listed as 49 cents on the app store. Then apple keeps trying to bill me 54 cents every few days for this app despite already buying it? Why am I being charged several times for this app? I dont want a subscription and nothing in this app said it was so why am I being charged several times.

Why can't I create account
not only in default currency
but also in different one. It
would be soooo nice to have
that feature. Also the ability
to make a transfer between
accounts in two different
currencies would be
welcome. And in case you are going to implement this
feature note that in real life
different banks have different
exchange rates, so it is
absolute necessary to allow
user to inter the amount
spent in one currency and
amount received in another.
Using third-party API’s to
load exchange rates is not
the way to go. (Like many
other apps do). You can add
it as an additional info, but
you must let the user do
what l described above. Will give it 5 stars if you actually implement these features

The app is really useful for tracking your spending and monthly bills, as well as the chart. However I don’t understand how to set the things up because the app is not explaining much. You should really make this app easier.

Cette application a une interface très originale et très intuitive pour gérer son budget. On a la possibilité de créer plusieurs portefeuilles (compte courant, livret A, PEA) et de leur donner des objectifs indépendants. Mais le gros + de cette application c’est l’automatisation que propose le dev avec l’application « Raccourci ». Des que vous faites un paiement avec Apple Pay, il est automatiquement enregistré dans Gem et ça c’est vraiment game changer. Je recommande à 1000% !
NB : il y a la possibilité d’exporter ses données en CSV et donc de pouvoir faire des analyses plus approfondies sur Excel par exemple.

I’ve been a Nudget user for many years and have been looking for a replacement with just a bit more functionality. Gem is exactly what I was looking for - multi-currency is nice and the categorization is just super flexible.
The app really feels at home on iOS by following the platform conventions but adding its own personality on top.

I'm planning to simplify this in the next release
