## What is GEMS Mobile RPM?

GEMS RPM (ECG) is an FDA-cleared mobile app used for recording and managing ECGs. GEMS RPM will only work with ECG devices that have been provided to a consumer under the direction of a healthcare professional. A physician’s prescription or authorization from a health care professional will be requested prior to GEMS RPM being enabled. GEMS RPM may be used with a number of different medically approved ECG monitors and is based on the same ECG software that is used and trusted by physicians in hospitals across North America.

GEMS RPM is free for download without the purchase a device. To use GEMS RPM, the consumer must provide the GEMS RPM service with documentation for medical direction for its use.  Once authorization has been granted, GEMS RPM will be able to pair with a HeartCheck ECG device, and allow the user to view, print and send ECGs to their healthcare professional for medical review. Where requested, professionally reviewed results are available for a fee and are received in as little as 30 minutes. The results can indicate the presence or absence of several heart arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation and QT prolongation. You can also see your ECG print out in near real time at no additional cost to be shared with a healthcare professional.

All supported ECG devices are hand-held, Bluetooth connected and with long lasting battery life. They are also very compact and easy to carry anywhere.
