Other than that, there are billions of options with these lights and they are very high-quality. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, I do gotta knock off a star cause the app in my opinion has a major quirk that I can’t overlook. If you plan on simply selecting a premade pattern and calling it a day you’ll be just fine. The quirks for me were realized on if you ever try and attempt to create your own pattern or custom design. You’ll find that your lights will automatically turn on for all your neighbours to watch your live editing. The app won’t even tell you that the lights were turned on within editing and you’ll also have no way of turning them off on the unsaved page you’re on. This is super clunky in my opinion. The app should tell me at all times the systems status, especially through the editing process, and always give me the option to either turn them off or maintain what’s on. My neighbours don’t need to know and watch every time I’m trying to create something in the app. **Developer response:** Thank you for your honest feedback. So many choices and can create my own scheme . They are so much more brilliant than others on the market, they add so much more curb appeal to our home. We are very happy with them. Installed them for me and gave me a tutorial on how to operate. Right now they are streaming Thanksgiving colors, but I also have them set to play all the Oregon duck game colors and. I’m on the 2nd controller and still doesn’t work. Spent too much time with Gemstone troubleshooting to get it to work. Frustrating… I followed up with Gemstone tech support and they were no help. They just said replace the controller AGAIN. ### 1/5 — No music function *2025-07-09* I would suggest not upgrading if you looking for the music function. I’m on the 2nd controller and still doesn’t work. Spent too much time with Gemstone troubleshooting to get it to work. Frustrating… ### 1/5 — Hub2 can’t handle special character passwords? *2025-03-24* Just spent a lot of money getting a professional light setup, only to find out the Hub2 won’t connect to my WiFi because my password has a special character? Seriously? It’s 2025, so I now need to weaken the security of my system and update every WiFi device in my house, or have lights that don’t work. **Developer response:** Hi there - sorry to hear that you're running into difficulties. This app is more awkward than the original and is missing key features. For example this app does not support dark mode. ### 2/5 — Autopilot doesn’t work *2025-07-14* A little confusing but it makes the house look amazing. However we have autopilot set up and it never works. It says it’s going to turn on but never does. It is really frustrating that the system was so expensive but doesn’t really do what you wanted it too. When they say you get what you pay for it’s true in most cases as it is with Gemstone’s product. Silver Bells who I have used for a few years happened to be the licensed installer and everything went great and the product far exceeds my expectations and destroys the other lesser products in my neighborhood. The app is so great. My wife and I can set the whole year up for holidays, sports teams, and can lighting look for regular days. To say I am impressed is to say the least. Our installer was Marvin. He was polite, patient and friendly. He took his time to educate us on how to use the app and there was no mess left.
