## What is General Accounting Journal?

Accounting is the art of recording, categorizing, and summarizing in monetary terms transactions and events of a financial nature, as well as interpreting the results.


A general journal is a diary or special form in which all transaction activities are recorded chronologically and in date order. In the credit or debit column, include the transaction's name, account group, and nominal.
