What i mean by this is, i don’t like that it doesn’t try to taylor itself to a section or branch system when you get things wrong. instead it’s the same questions, you have to keep taking it till you pass, they aren’t different versions of the questions, it’s the same question. I find this app very helpful, i downloaded it to help me identify my weaknesses. The learning pathways progress reasonably and there is a whole wealth of practice tests (I believe 10 in each subject?) with a variety of questions that should help you get a feel for the real thing. If you’re already somewhat confident in your knowledge to some extent, the free version of this app is plenty sufficient and the ads are non-intrusive. Only caveat is that missed questions will not be explained. Now, I paid for the full version (Only have a week to study so used the free trial initially, will probably move to the full membership.) Just a few issues here. 1.) Several of the questions in mathematical reasoning so far have been incorrect (to the best of my knowledge.) I know the developers are aware and have open reports for these. It’s still a little frustrating, but excusable for an app that is in development/third party from the official tests. 2.) In the social studies and science sections, many questions that should be accompanied by a graph/text are missing the additional resource, so you are left to assume the answer on prior knowledge. Once again easily could be oversight. Definitely worthwhile for the right audience, and the elaborations on the math section are helpful. This app is fish bait. You download it and start studying but the moment you get a question wrong all it does is prompt you to buy the “full version” cuz obviously you don’t know why you got a question wrong. Thank you! ### 1/5 — PLEASE READ IMPORTANT *2023-09-01* This application is okay however the reason you and I are here is obviously because we are trying to learn for the GED. The app has multiple incorrect answers, more so that you’ll encounter as the difficulty increases. If you have no idea how to do a problem that the app has gotten the incorrect answer to then you’ll end up surfing the internet trying to figure out how to solve the problem. Example: According to the National Atmospheric and Oceanic Administration, we experienced 16 named storms in 2019. Eight (8) of these named storms grew into hurricanes while five (5) were major hurricanes. What fraction of these named storms developed into hurricanes? Please reduce the answer to lowest terms. From here the fraction can be found as 16/13 but it asks you to find the lowest term, however 16/13 is in fact THE LOWEST TERM POSSIBLE! When you refer to how they achieved this answer the equation says this Answer: To find the fraction of named storms that grew into hurricanes, find the number of storms that grew into hurricanes for the numerator, with the total number of named storms in the denominator. Then, reduce the fraction if possible. Therefore, 1/2 of the named storms from 2019 grew into hurricanes. It says to reduce if possible but then gives no option for 16/13. They will say to flag the question and it’s in fact what I did but this question in particular shows just complete lack of effort like someone was just copying and pasting or that they just wanted to write out the problem as quick as possible. If the questions keep up like this then the application is absolutely worthless and not worth even just a download. No matter the response from the creator don’t listen and take what I’ve said to heart! If this is a deciding problem for you then DO NOT GET THE APP NO MATTER WHAT, there are multiple other options that I’m sure are better and I am going to change apps soon as well, unfortunately I just today bought the full version so I’m stuck. **Developer response:** We are extremely sorry for your bad experience. Went over some answers with my math teacher and the app says they’re wrong when they’re actually right…example; “The heights of the five starters on the basketball team are 60 inches, 70 inches, 71 inches, 79 inches, 79 inches…what is their MEDIAN height in inches?” So, 60, 70, 71, 79, 79… MEDIAN would be the # in the middle which is 71 inches. The app says 73.2 would be the MEDIAN when 73.2 is the MEAN and NOT the MEDIAN. The explanations for the answers are missing parts of the solutions too. This can be very confusing when you’re trying to learn. **Developer response:** We are so sorry for your bad experience with our app. We have released the new version of the app that fixes the problem that you mentioned. But the AI tutor is useless and I doubt any amount of money to a subscription will help that. . For math, it gave me a problem and 4 possible answers. None of the answers were actually possible given the two equations the AI tutor generated. I checked my math several times and even had chat gpt verify. Fix the AI. People are relying on accurate information to help them learn. This could be a worth while tool, but in its current form, it’s just not worth spending money on. Use the free part as long as you can though. But got into the app and didnt see any actual learning materials. Just series of tests or questions which would be fine until you click an answer. And it doesn’t matter if it’s right or wrong it literally blurs out the explanation and says it’s “pro content” id rather have ads in the middle of my study than a useless questionnaire I have to pay to see why I was wrong or not.
