This app was incredibly useful for work BUT it no longer works on my phone
Maybe the iOS was updated to something that stopped it working? 🤷🏻

I use this app for checking the consequences of DNA mutation in human disease. The codon picker is the perfect tool for that. Thanks for creating this app.

### 4/5 — Simple and useful.

The interface is simple and self-explaining, and you will never wonder how to use this app.

### 5/5 — Excellent, quick tool!

*2014-01-10, version 1.4*

I have been using this app in my class for years (I’m a professor of biology). I hook my iPhone up to the video projector and show my students the connection of the codons to the structures of the amino acids. It’s easy to use and provides for good discussion. I also love that it has a codon table AND a codon wheel. Most of my students are familiar with the codon table and prefer it to the wheel, but after the demonstration many can see how the wheel is faster to use.

Once we figure out the NAMES of the amino acids for each codon, the codon picker lets me show what the side-chains of the amino acids are. This is rather striking for the students.

I’ll certainly give this five stars for the price. I haven’t had need of the “Pro” version (Sorry, Ivan!) and haven’t taken the time to look at it. If the Pro had a 3-D rotating rendering of amino acids, I’d be all over it!

Nice, solid app. Thanks!
