Three Portrait Modes

Smart Image Editor
Prepare your photo before rendering with built-in brightness, contrast, sharpness, and saturation controls. Remove the background in one tap using on-device machine learning, then set a custom background colour with the HSV colour wheel. Pinch and drag to position your image precisely within the board frame before generating.
Three Board Shapes
Circle, Square, and Rectangle boards are all supported. Enter your board dimensions and nail spacing in centimetres and the app calculates the exact nail count automatically. Portrait and landscape orientations are both available for rectangle boards.

First the nail layout is to scale, but not to your scale. It’s to the scale to fit on a normal one sheet of paper. Also it doesn’t give you step by step directions. $25 bucks is for one piece of paper that doesn’t even fit the wooden board.

Genie Strings for iPhone and iPad is here — the full string art generation experience on iOS.
The complete weaving engine brings accurate string art rendering across all three portrait modes and all three board shapes. The image editor includes background removal, a custom colour wheel, and full adjustment controls. The pan and zoom canvas lets you frame your subject precisely before rendering.
Monochrome mode includes four advanced controls — Darkness, Person Focus, Shadow Richness, and Fine Detail — with automatic value suggestions based on your photo.
After rendering, the Adjust and Re-Render button lets you tweak any setting and regenerate instantly. The pencil button on the source canvas reopens the editor at any time without losing your settings or dimensions.
Every export now includes both the nail sequence text file and a to-scale nail layout PDF with every nail numbered. Both files are saved locally and in iCloud and appear in My Templates.
