### 5/5 — Great app for young kids and even adults!

*2020-06-05, version 1.2*

I’m 27 and I’ve found this app very useful. My parents didn’t raise us speaking Igbo at home in the US. So this app has helped me learn more than just the numbers and alphabets. I highly recommend downloading the app.

### 5/5 — Igbo 102 - a fan

*2020-04-23, version 1.1*

Used Igbo 101 and this is a nice addition. Better since use words commonly used in conversation. Great job. Plus 1 module is free if register. Can’t beat that.

### 5/5 — Great way to learn

I like how there is the option to learn the lesson and then play the games. It makes it a lot easier and more fun to actually learn! Great work so far on this app!

### 2/5 — Too fast

*2022-02-23, version 1.3.4*

First thing first in language concerning repetition is non existent. It must also be repeated in English so that it’s heard as well, not just to read. It moves too fast and you can only pause it and or start over again. There should be a playback option so it either to moves slow or fast. The linguistics is NOT taught which is important and pronunciation such as phonics, or morphology. I know that this may be one of zero systems available to teach the language but it needs to be structured better. As person who speaks 3 language and an ESL teacher myself this app needs some improvements. For a person familiar with the language it may seem child friendly but this isn’t a Germanic or Latin based language so the basics especially must be taught first. I’d suggest looking at the Pimselur language system and format the order of learning in that matter. I would be most thankful.

### 2/5 — Misleading

*2020-04-13, version 1.1*

Don’t send emails saying you can learn a language for free when in reality you can only learn one or two things before you have to pay. It’s misleading

### 3/5 — Good concept room to Improve

*2023-02-19, version 1.3.4*

I liked Igbo 101 but unable to get assistance to purchase/access Igbo 102 after multiple inquiries with no response

### 3/5 — Purchasing

*2023-01-20, version 1.3.4*

I’m having trouble purchasing Igbo 102. It won’t allow me. I need your help.

### 3/5 — Ga?

*2021-06-13, version 1.3.4*

Still waiting for the Ga modules ☹️

### 3/5 — No autosound

*2020-03-28, version 1.1*

This app is good but auto sound which not helpful.

### 4/5 — Sound stopped working

*2024-03-21, version 1.3.5*

This app is absolutely brilliant but after 3 months of using it, suddenly the sound stopped working. I checked the settings and turned up my phone volume but still nothing. :( It’s unfortunate because igbo is a tonal language and it is hard to learn without the sound.

UPDATE: after contacting the developer, I was advised to toggle the MUTE BUTTON ON MY IPHONE and it started working again. So the problem is solved and I can go back to learning. Thank you for this!!

### 4/5 — Great practice tool

*2020-04-28, version 1.1*

Love the interactive aspect of it and the daily reminders it sends to open the app and practice. I have the Igbo 102 module and this app is great for practicing my Igbo as someone who’s learned the basics but wants more practice hearing tonal differences and pronunciations.

### 5/5 — Cheta Igbo approved!

*2025-08-02, version 1.3.5*

Has helped out students tremendously. Simple user friendly interface and audio functionality

### 5/5 — Great!!!

*2024-01-17, version 1.3.5*

I was trying to find an app that I could learn where I could learn Igbo and this is the best one. I even asked my mom if the words and phrases were correct she said yess!!

### 5/5 — This really helps!

*2020-07-25, version 1.3.1*

I’ve been using this app for to learn Igbo for the past two months and I’ve definitely improved in my listening and conversational skills. I hope more modules are added later.

### 5/5 — No sound

*2020-06-28, version 1.3*

I can’t hear. I’ve messed with the settings and still no sound.
Update: If you have your phone on silent mode, you won’t be able to hear the sound. The developer informed me of this. With other apps, I haven’t had this issue. But I’ve updated my review.

### 5/5 — App

*2020-06-21*

Great app!

**Developer response:** Thank you

### 5/5 — Best African Language App Available

*2020-06-18, version 1.2*

The fact that they teach language at a kid's level is genius! It is very interactive and fun, especially the background music!

I am learning Yoruba right now & now I feel silly wasting over $50 on other apps/books, which did not help me at all! I use it mostly on my iPad, but the iPhone version is fun to do at work on breaks or while waiting in line at the store.

### 5/5 — If you want to learn Yoruba. You need this app

*2020-06-14, version 1.2*

This is one of the very few apps that has the context and information required to help you progress in yoruba language.

The topics are clearly marked out so you can go to exactly what you’re looking for.

The content and and explanations are on point so you can introduce yourself to a brand new topic or revise it.

Definitely worth the money!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2020-06-06, version 1.2*

Very easy to use and fun

### 5/5 — Amazing and lovely

*2020-06-05*

This App is made with so much love and care. And I really learn with it. Please go on like this.

**Developer response:** Thanks. We definitely will!
