### 5/5 — Works great, eventually

*2026-07-30*

I installed a wireless septic tank pump due to death of previous unit. Previous wire for alarm in the house corroded after 18 years. This app initially would only show alerts on iPhone but no sound. After working with the developer a few times I was able to get the sound alerts to work as well
Great peace of mind after having the first septic tank fail and almost cause a serious problem.

### 1/5 — Not user friendly

*2026-07-20*

Some of the presets are ridiculous. If you manually turn on a zone, the preset is 180 minutes. You have to reset it every time and then if you want to see how much time is left, good luck. There is so much lag that you just have to guess.

### 5/5 — Works as expected

*2026-06-07*

I’m not sure why someone gave this one star. It worked first go for me. Took about 2 minutes. I liked I was able to start this while I was on a different floor in my house.

**Developer response:** Thanks for sharing your experience! We're thrilled it worked quickly and smoothly for you — starting it from another floor is exactly the kind of convenience we designed it for. We really appreciate you taking the time to leave this feedback.

### 1/5 — Useless app. We wasted $$

*2026-05-30*

Any of the readings on usage, etc. don’t make any sense. It’ll show zero for days and then minus numbers. When I try to refresh it, it doesn’t do anything. I’m not even able to turn the mute button on and off. Waste of money and total frustration.

**Developer response:** I'm really sorry to hear you're dealing with this — I completely understand the frustration.
So we can figure out exactly what's going on and give you the right solution, could you help us with a few details?
- Which product are you using?
- Can you describe the issue in a bit more detail?
Once we have these details, we'll be able to give you clear, specific steps to get things working properly again. We definitely don't want you to feel like this was a waste — we'll make this right.

### 4/5 — Works decently well, some shortcomings

*2026-02-04*

Currently, GeniLife is just hooked up as our oil level sensor. There seems to be no way to set the warning level - it’s hardcoded to ¼ tank, which is okay, but I’d like to modify it.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback. The oil-level warning on GeniLife is currently fixed at ¼ tank and can't be adjusted by the user. I’ve passed your request for a configurable threshold to the product team for consideration in a future update. Let us know if you need any other help in the meantime.

### 1/5 — Using with Radon Detector App does not work well with iPhone and iPad

*2026-01-14*

App does not size well especially with iPad, text overlaps, and sometimes you have to shift to landscape, other times to portrait. App just appears to be poorly written.

**Developer response:** Hello, thank you for your feedback. We have made some adaptations for the iPad version and will release them in the next version.

### 4/5 — Salt generator

*2025-06-06*

Decent app. Some flaws though, I can not set a schedule for the salt generator to simply go on and off. The only scenes available are for faults, which doesn’t make any sense. I was going to pay for the notification feature but without simple scenes available its rather useless. The only alerts have to do with faults and while that is good, there should be other options. Also it is not clear what devices work with the app. I see a bilge pump monitor on the app but have not for the life of me been able to figure out the model that will work with this app. But its free so how much can i really be upset.

### 5/5 — working as advertised

*2025-04-24*

it reliably detects power outage and sends me a notification to my phone. It's doing what it is advertised to do at a very reasonable price. If all my idiotic apps worked this well it would be a more beautiful world

### 1/5 — Surge protector

*2025-04-07*

Wasted my money and lots if time

**Developer response:** Hello, What specific questions do you have? you can leave a message in the "Mine - Help and Feedback" section of the GeniLife App to provide feedback on your issue. We will reply to your questions regularly.

### 1/5 — I applaud the ability to monitor a lot of things, BUT…

*2025-03-20*

(Version 2.2.0 (39))
This app has so much potential, but falls 95% short because it doesn’t properly notify you when ‘switches’ trip, in reference to the mailbox switch I use it for. The program receives the notification from the switch, but FAILS to tell me it happened (sending a notification), so I still have to check my mailbox anyways, on a daily basis.
ALSO, the software DOES NOT allow me to add additional people to notify under “ADD FAMILY MEMBERS”, whether they are actually family or roommates, so that other people get the same notifications that I do.
You can press “ADD FAMILY MEMBERS” till the day you die, and it won’t do anything, except highlight the fact that you pressed the button, but NOT do anything beyond that.

The software needs a boost, and so far, the developers are just tubing the lazy river, with a cocktail in their hand.

Sad, because this software could be SO MUCH MORE!!
But the DEVS don’t care.

**Developer response:** Hello, previously we prioritized developing other more urgent features. Now you can upgrade the app to version 2.3 to add family members, who will be able to use all devices in your family. In addition, regarding the issue of not receiving push messages from your phone when opening your mailbox, please confirm first. In the iPhone settings, go to "GeniLife - Notifications" and check if "Allow Notifications" is enabled after entering Notifications? Then in the GeniLife App's "Mine - Message Center", enter the message center and click on the "gear icon" in the upper right corner to check if the "enable notification" switch and the three switches below are all turned on? Finally, confirm if your mobile network is functioning properly. Only when these conditions are met can you receive push notifications from your phone when the message is opened. You can also create scenes in the GeniLife app to send text messages or make phone calls to notify you when your mailbox is opened.
