Thanks David ### 1/5 — Still has a lack of intuitive design *2026-07-01* I was hoping the new app would be better designed than its predecessor, but it still isn’t very intuitive. Many toolbar icons aren’t labeled, so it often takes trial and error to figure out what they do. even with repeated use. In the note editor, there are also unclear elements like small circular icons and an unlabeled symbol indicator. Overall, the heavy reliance on icons without clear guidance or hierarchy makes the app harder to navigate than it should be, especially for students who need a more accessible experience. **Developer response:** Thanks for taking the time to share this. If you need any further help, please email me at support@genio.co Kind regards, Monika ### 1/5 — Not as advertised *2026-06-09* I upgraded to this app from what they are now calling the legacy app because of the promise of having this app work like the computer version of the app, specifically the testing feature mentioned under “apply your learning” in the “KEY FEATURES’ part of the description. This is the same app as the “legacy” app. There is no visible improvement and no testing feature. Looks like another bait and switch to me. **Developer response:** Hello, I'm sorry that you're unhappy with our new app. If you're unable to access our QuizMe feature then I suspect you're under a College or University account, where they've asked us to remove that feature. Thanks David. ### 4/5 — I’m Diggin It *2026-08-04* So when I first heard of the app I wasn’t to sure I’ll admit just another piece of tech I need to keep track of. But once I started to implement this into my class work it helped so much!! And now between this new focus mode they offer makes keeping notes easier I don’t have to switch between apps or over to my notes anymore I can keep everything right there!!! Overall worth the download ### 5/5 — Works better than the last app, but still needs improvement *2026-06-23* I was wary of moving to the new app because of the low reviews lately, but it appears everything‘s fine. It works pretty much like the computer one and not at all like the old mobile one. The last app that they had was awful. I can’t even load it on my phone anymore. Please fix it so I can transfer over my data. It won’t even let me open the old one. Otherwise, this one works fine! Genio Notes is a great app for recording / Note Taking / Importing Slides / Automatically Generating Transcripts and Outlines.
