### 2/5 — Poor

*2026-01-11, version 2.30.0*

Needed updating. Not many features Very basic

### 3/5 — Could be more user friendly and needs updates

*2025-11-29, version 2.30.0*

I do like being able to raise and lower the volume, however, I wish it would sync with my phone so I wouldn’t have to keep the speaker on, on my phone. Also it keeps telling me the volume is too lo or too hi for the controls to work properly and when I’m in a place that I don’t want interruptions, my phone is on silent but I still need to hear whatever it is I’m listening to .

### 3/5 — Could be better

*2025-10-28, version 2.30.0*

Not enough control

### 2/5 — Control?

*2025-08-20, version 2.30.0*

Customer should have better User/Customer control & Software Should ALWAYS be User/Customer friendly, after all, we paid a lot of money for 2 (two) hearing aids.
Thanks,
Dr. G.

### 2/5 — App Review

*2025-06-20, version 2.30.0*

The app needs individual volume control for each ear. The imbalance is very difficult to deal with.

### 2/5 — Needs more work

*2025-05-17, version 2.30.0*

Not “user friendly” it’s Audiologist friendly but Audiologist even have recommendation for you but might be afraid to “Suggest” them?
Love,
Dr. G. ❤️🙏❤️

### 2/5 — Not a genius!

*2025-01-13, version 2.30.0*

Very disappointed with this app due to the fact that it is very limited in ways (only two preferences) to operate the hearing aids. It needs to give other selections of operation depending on the surrounding environment. 👎

### 2/5 — ?

*2025-01-11, version 2.30.0*

Sound is not loud enough!!!

### 3/5 — I notice minimal between the high and low setting. So it’s useless to me.

*2024-11-10, version 2.30.0*

I can’t hear at church

There is very little difference between medium and high

I’m going to try and do better next time around

### 2/5 — Tracking

*2024-11-07, version 2.30.0*

Really wish the App could track hearing aids when they are missing.

### 3/5 — Should have individual aid test tone

*2024-06-03, version 2.30.0*

The app should have an individual hearing aid test tone to answer the simple question: Are both working normally?

### 4/5 — Loving it

*2024-04-20, version 2.30.0*

I only have one hearing aid and I love it! The only problem I have with it is it shuts off when my phone hooks up to my car, so my hearing aid shuts off. And it shuts off when ever my phone hooks up to any of my Bluetooth electronics. Other then that I am very happy. App is easy to use and adjust my hearing

### 4/5 — Manual settings

*2024-04-04, version 2.30.0*

I bought a Miracle hearing aid and is connected to this App but there 3 programs set which in the car or noisy areas automatically turn the volume down and I can’t hear the person sitting next to me talking! I hope I could disable the auto function manually.

### 3/5 — Limited, captive user

*2024-03-18, version 2.30.0*

As the only software that works with my hearing aid, it’s a bit disappointing.

1. The high frequency sound/signal sent to tell me my volume level is useless since I can’t hear most of those frequencies. All they have to do is provide options for tones. Middle, I can hear the max volume tone, so it can be done. And the time only sounds in one ear when it does max. Everything should happen in both ears. Hearing impaired folks have different issues in each ear sometimes. Also instead of a slide bar, put numbers too. It all seems to be a costing game.

2. I sometimes have to play with the volume a few times with nothing happening, eventually a pop up tells me to raise my device volume before I can set the volume. I’m not sure what this is, but there’s clearly some disconnect in communication here.

I realize there is a limitation brought about by my small hearing aids not having blue tooth, which means battery leaves and some other features can’t be synced, but there could be estimates based on fully charged HAs. The charger is synced with the phone, so that could be done.

I also agree with another reviewer about a “device offline” notice should be available, but likely that is also a limitation due to lack of blue tooth.

Since the is the only app that works with my phone and HAs, I’m clearly out of options. I wanted the small size HAs and didn’t really need the blue tooth. This is the price I paid for my vanity. Lol.

In happy to work with app developers-

### 2/5 — App is lacking

*2023-09-20, version 2.30.0*

As in another review, this app lacks a separate volume control for each ear. It also lacks a decent EQ offering only increase in treble lessening the bass or vice versa. This should have no less than a three to four band EQ in order to boost or decrease highs and lows and mids. Adding these features would offer a much richer hearing experience.

### 3/5 — Needs work

*2023-08-13, version 2.30.0*

The app, is easy to use I don’t like the fact the app doesn’t work when my phone is connected to my stereo using Bluetooth, and it would be nice if it had a battery level, fix the Bluetooth issue and l would give it 5 stars.

### 3/5 — Does not switch over smoothly

*2023-08-06, version 2.30.0*

I use noisy when the band is playing at church and when I switch over sometimes it does not switch over and today I was hearing Syrians and nobody else was hearing it

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Took away a key feature!

*2025-11-17, version 2.30.0*

There was a feature that through the app I could block out background noice. This was key when at a restaurant or in a crowd, I use to be able to direct to hear person facing me. I am madden that this feature was taken off the app!!

### 1/5 — Miracle Ear GENIUScontrol app

*2025-10-01, version 2.30.0*

This app is useless. I need individual volume control and balance.

### 1/5 — Dr. G

*2025-03-23, version 2.30.0*

Not enough explanation or control to patients.

### 1/5 — Background

*2024-10-08, version 2.30.0*

This amplifies the background noise and mutes the voices.
Very disappointed in these hearing aids.

### 1/5 — Lynn

*2024-09-13, version 2.30.0*

Horrible app. Volume has to be changed everytime it is used. Horrible clarity and no means to adjust it.

### 1/5 — Disappointed with upgrade

*2024-06-02, version 2.30.0*

Used to be able to test and change volume settings
With this latest update that option has disappeared. Rep said it doesn't work anymore on my Version of Miracle Ear hearing aids. I NEVER would have sccepted this upgrade but was not given the option by rep.

### 1/5 — Performance

*2024-05-10, version 2.30.0*

La aplicación es pésima y no funciona. Deben eliminarla

### 1/5 — Tinnitus treatment program faulty.

*2024-04-25, version 2.30.0*

Great idea, but I can’t turn the tinnitus treatment all the way down when it bugs me. My provider offered a wave sound but I now have to switch between the tinnitus treatment program (which automatically comes on in when I first put my hearing aid in) then go the “noisy environment” program to get the waves to disappear. There is no functionality that you can choose from, like white noise (which he demonstrated in the office, other sounds, etc) - I suggest leaving them all in there and let the customer decide which to use. In love add brown or green noise too. Just not enough flexibility. And it’s not working correctly.

### 1/5 — Worthless app

*2023-11-15, version 2.30.0*

You pay a ton of money for hearing aid only to have this app that works 40% of the time at best. Fix it!

### 1/5 — App

*2023-11-12, version 2.30.0*

### 5/5 — Miracle-Ear hearing aids

*2024-09-08, version 2.30.0*

Thank you so much for the hearing aids. I can hear nice out of them. The app is easy to use very friendly and thank you for helping me when I needed the help I appreciate it Charlie Freemyer.

### 5/5 — Employee Review

*2023-03-31, version 2.30.0*

Shellar Pernod was extremely helpful. We stopped into your Escondido CA store while visiting from SC. I only had the aids for two days when we left for our trip a week ago. We needed batteries. She took time to explain the need for clean ear buds. They told us in SC and were helpful their as well.

### 5/5 — Does a very good job for me!

*2022-12-29, version 2.30.0*

I am very happy with the results I get from the Genius app. It would be great if it could adjust sensitivity for either one rather than only both ears. However, I think that my hearing aids are the limiting factor, they are getting technologically outdated.

### 5/5 — great app!

*2022-05-17, version 2.30.0*

love this app for controlling the settings on my hearing aid. makes life so much easier being able to change the settings of my hearing aid in just seconds.

### 5/5 — Miracle Ear

*2021-09-03, version 2.30.0*

Since this the first time I wear hearing aids , I couldn’t hear crap , but now that I have Miracle Ear , I can hear the wind blowing the bird’s mating call and it all sounds really surreal. Heads up Miracle Ear , your product has made a me a believer.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2021-04-02, version 2.30.0*

I am very satisfied with how everything works. I don’t see how it could be any easier to interact with the equipment. Very happy with the entire experience.

### 5/5 — Great app; watch out for the new one

*2020-02-28*

My professional just had me load the new app. I am very glad I still have this one. The new one takes forever to connect and will not stay connected thru-out the day...it is very limited on what you can actually do with it. I gave them my input and happy the new one did not over-write this one. Stay with this until they get the kinks out of the new one!!

### 5/5 — Getting use to THAT THING in my left ear!

*2019-11-16*

OK, I realize I am not a comic, but sometimes it helps. I love the app on my iPhone, it sure saves me a lot of fumbles getting the noise level. I agree with the person that wanted numerical indicators on the one this app has BUT, there is one more thing that can be done, an ear monitor that automatically sets the noise for each ear, with the best thing since these wonderful product have been produced. As they get better, they get smaller. Well, why can’t you produce one that can be “in the ear”! It could still be monitored on the app, but I am sure there are thousands that would choose an internal hearing aid. I realize I am writing a book, it seems, but it would be one of the best innovations of this next kind. Kudos to all of you that work in this area.
