And it’s not just the story through the main quests, it’s the lore hidden behind it all, the in game books, the world quests, the character quests. It all comes together to make the world feel so real and immersive and so incredible and interesting. I know similar games have come out recently and I’ve tried some of them, and sure the mechanics and stuff are fairly the same and they are entertaining but to me, story wise, they just don’t come even close to Genshin or they come off as a bad rip-off. So if you’re thinking about downloading this game, definitely go for it. Sumeru released which started the downfall. The dialogue is unskippable despite players practically BEGGING for a skip button (especially because the dialogue is boring and is like endless filler content that is excruciating to sit through.) The exploration stopped feeling rewarding after Inazuma and characters are so bland now that their backstories kind of just blend together. You almost forget who is who and new character releases don’t hit the same as they used to. Many plot points that you would expect the story to return to eventually are just abandoned and never spoken of again, so it’s like what’s the point?
