It verified two of the four items I had but not the other two. It was clear that it was trying. It kept giving me errors, try again, and move closer. both the apps interface and the business card I was given are so minimalistic that it is hard to navigate. There’s no way to troubleshoot or make sure you’re doing it correctly. Wouldn’t recommend. *2021-04-29, version 1.0.11* This app isn’t user friendly. The instructions are to hold the top rear of your phone near the QR code. I did that and nothing else happened. It didn’t say real or fake. They keep commenting under people’s reviews to follow the instructions and the instructions are super simple. They are implying that if it doesn’t work then it might be counterfeit but the app is supposed to tell you whether or not it is counterfeit. This app didn’t do the job it was supposed to do. This was very frustrating. I followed the directions and the app didn’t move to the next step. It was almost as if the app just froze and couldn’t process the QR. I checked my camera to see if the QR reader was working and my camera picks up the QR, the app just doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do. You guys are trying to make this product more marketable by providing a verification tool, but the verification tool does not work all the time. Even if the product is counterfeit the app should do it’s job and let the user know. This is a half baked app, only works part of the time. I shouldn’t have to assume my product is counterfeit, the app should do its job. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Real or fake?? *2026-04-22, version 1.2.3* So when I scan my product with GENUNITY it’s “fake” but when I scan with VERIMIE it’s “authenticated”!! GENUNITY was on the box insert and the VERIMIE was on the back of the actual box. Who to believe? ### 1/5 — Why precise location? *2023-05-11, version 1.2.2* Opened the app, denied location services. Refuses to use the app without it. Went to my setting and toggle it on but disabled precise location, now the app won’t let me scan without my precise location. No thanks.
