Although it would be really great for kids! The different types of games are great. It seems I don’t know my countries (or states) as well as I thought I did. I also love that it shows the flags. I love trivia and next time I’m going to be the one that knows all the answers to the geography questions. There are a few bugs that require attention especially on the capitals element which just didn't work. I also think it would be improved with an account facility for different users as more than one person may be using the app. Apart from that it's great and my 8 year old really likes it. The graphics and colours are appealing and the instructions clear. I'll look forward to the improvements! ### 5/5 — Best way to learn flags, multiple games included *2014-08-27, version 1.6* This is a really well-thought-out geography game that is different from all the others (and i've played them all). I was never interested in flags before, but this game turns the map into almost a work of art, as the flags are placed onto their respective countries on the map. It gives me a visual representation of the flags that I can remember, often without trying. I also like the "exploration" mode where I can practice and memorize countries, flags, & capitals and their locations, before doing the actual games. And I love that it says the country and capital names out loud! It's another way to reinforce my memory (and help my pronunciation). This app includes multiple games, some which revolve around country shapes and multiple choice questions, but I prefer the map-oriented ones. The "places" game (landmarks) has a fun feature: 360 degree Google Street Views for several locations, instead of just pictures. I'm terrible at that game though---I need a learning mode for it, because it goes a little fast for me to absorb the info. My wishes: to include all the small island countries, for the capitals game to involve placing the capitals on the map (instead of being multiple choice), to have a similar game involving most populous cities, and to have games for memorizing seas, mountains, etc. I hope this developer continues to expand the game, because what they have so far is unique and a great way to learn. ### 5/5 — OUTSTANDING App!!!!! *2014-02-27, version 1.5* I own hundreds of geography apps, and I just bought Geo World. I cannot put it down, as I am learning a ton! It is now my very favorite!!! It has so many wonderful features, runs beautifully and smoothly, contains wonderful graphics and is so comprehensive and high-quality. This app even pronounces the names of the world capitals which is a very rare feature!! It is the PERFECT geography app, the best of the best.
