The BallisticsARC solver is an advanced 3 DOF solver with provisions for MV vs Temp, Coriolis, spin drift, crosswind jump, moving targets, multiple targets with unique azimuths and angles and much more. GeoBallistics includes 4 modes: HUD Mode, Chart Mode, Map Mode, and Comp Mode. All modes are accessible with 1 custom rifle. In order to add additional rifles and save/export range cards, use Kestrel devices, or backup data online, you must upgrade to the PRO version for a one-time fee. HUD Mode puts everything you need on one screen for a single target. This is also where the moving target feature and max ordinate display is located. Chart Mode is a traditional calculator that allows for a complete solution. Solutions include considerations for gyroscopic drift, Coriolis effect, wind influence, shot angle, atmospheric conditions, and more. Chart Mode also allows FREE integration of the WeatherFlow products. Map Mode allows users to range targets by dropping pins on satellite imagery of a shooting location. Range and solution are displayed by tapping on the target pins. Map Mode also introduces external ballistic data overlays on satellite imagery. These overlays display a bullet's performance along its path according to parameters specified for each rifle profile. Comp Mode allows the user to enter a course of fire with multiple targets with unique variables such as shot angle and shot azimuth. Now features the Holdover Data Zero setting (HDZ) calculator. Easy to use - once initial info has been entered. One of the primary shortcomings is the lack of a “landscape” mode. Many LE/MIL users are accessing the app through a phone/tablet attached to their kit (juggernaut case). I would love to see them update the software to rotate the screen when the phone is oriented horizontally. ### 5/5 — Best app in my opinion. *2026-07-06* Used to use 4DOF, this app does everything that 4DOF does but better and more. In my opinion it is the cheapest and best option for anything other than a kestral. Bullet library is amazing, online weather is great. COMP mode is amazing for the Precision Gas Gun matches I shoot. After truing MV the dope has been spot on. I had the app for a week and bought the PRO version and never looked back. Can't recommend enough. ### 5/5 — Love what they’ve done with the app *2026-07-05* This has become my go-to ballistic calculator! It’s very friendly for those who tinker with different rifles, optics, and different loads. I love that I can have several different loads saved for each rifle and easily switch between them. So far I’ve tested the solver out 600yds, and it has gotten me on target. The optic reticle overlay is superb, I just wish there was a function to show all the reference points. Such as it only shows in 1mil increments, when the reticle goes in 0.5mil increments. I also love that you can pull environmentals in from AWOS towers. Learned the importance of compensating for density altitude. ### 3/5 — Could be better *2026-06-12* With the great interface, GeoBallistics could be better. The main problem I have with this app, it has issues with the iPhone Compass i.e. GeoBallistics doesn't match up consistently with the internal compass. Directions can be way off in comparison. I would like to see a view compass heading option in the app instead just in degrees also. With that said, how about some more "critter" target options, like woodchuck/marmots? ### 1/5 — Updated app. Lost everything! *2026-05-07* Updated the app twice in 3 days. Obviously there is an issue. All my data is gone from the app. It will not bring it over from the website. And the website has only my older entries. I’m not a competitor but enjoy shooting fairly long range. This app was pretty good before these updates. Back to square one Email asked me to update review. Still same rating. This app, on my phone, has gone from pretty good to horrible!!! Just tested its wind hold. Uh, what wind hold. Looking for another app as of now! **Developer response:** We can help with this! Has worked fine until this most recent update. I’m not sure what medium they are expecting these bullets to be fired through but it must be similar to water given the velocity drop. At 100 yard zero and shooting 300 yards, the app shows and elevation of 346 MOA and 145 MOA windage. Please look into this if you haven’t already. Looked at rifle setting velocity and it shows correctly in its setting. But when using the standard chart, velocity is not matching. **Developer response:** We can help with this! I purchased a Razor 4000 range finder with GB a couple years ago and originally liked the GB app, but since the new products have come out the range finder is now outdated. It can either connect to GB on its own or the Ace can connect but not both products. I understand the range finder does not have the Relay network included. I’m not a competition shooter so I’m not going to invest in more range finders when the one I have works fine. When I first got the Ace the products would communicate through the GB app but they must have patched this so I can either use the range finder or the ACE with GB ### 2/5 — Clunky, Inaccurate *2026-03-23, version 7.2.10(376)* To many back and forth screens! Windage is hard to set and windage solutions are incorrect. Elevation solutions compared to other apps are also slightly off. Won’t buy the Razor scope I was interested in as I wanted the app for the hold overs and the windage is way off. ### 5/5 — Love it *2026-03-21, version 7.2.10(376)* It works. Plain and simple. The amazing thing is how well it works with the relay network. Also love reading the bad reviews to remind myself why I steer clear of public ranges.
