## What is GeoColour?

GeoColour places a searchable Munsell colour reference in your pocket, making it easier to browse soil, Gley and geological rock colours wherever your work takes you.

Designed for geologists, soil professionals, environmental scientists, students and anyone working with Munsell colour information, GeoColour brings hundreds of colour references together in a clear, touch-friendly iPhone app.

BROWSE 483 MUNSELL COLOURS

Explore 483 unique Munsell colour identities across dedicated collections:

• Soil Colours
• Gley Colours
• Geological Rock Colours
• White Page colours
• All Colours

Move between palettes or browse the complete reference in one place. The Geological Rock collection includes 115 entries with terminology relevant to geological materials.

SEARCH QUICKLY

Find colours using:

• Munsell notation
• HEX value
• Soil descriptions
• Geological rock descriptions

Search within an individual palette or across the entire colour collection.

VIEW USEFUL COLOUR INFORMATION

Open any colour to see its:

• Munsell notation
• HEX value
• RGB values
• Palette membership
• Relevant soil and geological descriptions

Different palettes may use the same Munsell colour while associating it with different descriptive terminology. GeoColour keeps this information organised and easy to explore.

AVAILABLE OFFLINE

GeoColour stores its colour reference data locally. No account or internet connection is required to browse palettes, search colours or view colour information—making it useful in the field, classroom, laboratory or office.

A CONVENIENT DIGITAL REFERENCE

Physical Munsell colour charts remain important tools for geological, soil and environmental work, but they are not always convenient to carry or quick to search. GeoColour provides an accessible digital companion on a device already carried in almost every pocket.

IMPORTANT COLOUR NOTICE

GeoColour displays digital screen representations of physical Munsell reference colours. Colour appearance can vary between devices due to display calibration, brightness, viewing conditions and other screen characteristics.

GeoColour is intended as a convenient, searchable reference. Where precise scientific colour matching is required, a calibrated physical Munsell colour chart should still be used.
