This is a really effective and incredibly useful app for those of us who need to bill clients for our time on site, or recording our time spent in any particular location. It just works, and has a lot of great features that allow refinement of the recording to suit your needs. Flexible output to CSV means that generating a timesheet for each location at the end of a week/month becomes easy. It’s now an integral part of our operations in a busy engineering business. So good, that we have made a decent donation to the developers. It says I arrive when I’m at the garage door versus when I enter the geofence radius. I need it to work properly for my home automation. Thought I was somewhere 24 hours now not logging anything. **Developer response:** Hi Andy, If Geofency stopped tracking, please check these points: • Location access → Settings › Geofency → set to Always • Precise location enabled • Check that all locations are active If a place is grayed out, monitoring is paused — please start monitoring via context menu again for that location. Thanks! ### 1/5 — Not a Time Clock App *2025-07-23, version 9.4* Time tracking via geofence…I was expecting to be able to clock in and out to prove I was onsite. Please update your iPhone to iOS 15.5, then Geofency should be able to track more reliably in the background again. It would be nice if you could adjust your rating afterwards. Documentation is nonexistent. Support… is there any? Have submitted the same in feedback - will update if I get some help. In the mean time, definitely a nonstarter. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work. *2020-06-18, version 6.5.5* I tried this app to replace Locative which I had been using to send webbooks to my home automation system. Locative would send the webhook when I left the geofence but not when I re-entered it. This app is no better. It simply doesn’t detect when I enter the geofence unless I have the app open which defeats the purpose. ### 1/5 — Limited locations *2020-02-06* Limited to 20 geolocations, don’t know till you exceed it. Thanks, waste of my time setting up to find out at location 20 **Developer response:** The limit is set by Apple and only applies to geofences. You may have overlooked the fact that you can switch to Significant Places in the drop-down menu at the top of the app. Here you can monitor an unlimited number of locations. If this has been helpful to you, we'd love to see an update to your review. :-) ### 1/5 — Location *2017-04-08* After last update, my app aren't save my location and don't reconize that I left the location. I’m a handyman and need to log specific time at clients houses, this app does that brilliantly for me. Mapped locations, timesheets available, visits viewable by event/day/week/month. The issue with settings changes not being reflected immediately was a regression in the last update and has been fixed in version 10.2. I’ve also made a number of performance improvements to the diary in 10.2, especially for larger databases with many years of history. If you’re still seeing slowdowns after updating, it would be very helpful to know exactly where they occur. For example, does the delay happen while using the search, when switching between dates, opening entries, or even outside the search? Any specific steps that consistently trigger the slowdown would help me track it down.
