### 5/5 — Powerful tools for serious foragers

*2026-05-28*

The App takes some instruction but the free seminars really turn you from a casual user to a super user. This is a must have for mushroom hunters

### 5/5 — Awesome App !!

*2026-04-22*

We used to hunt morels in Ohio, but didn’t know much about finding them in California. Found this app and been using it for a 3 years now. It saved us so much time and we found loads of morels in California !!!
Trent and Kristen are always so helpful and responsive!!
Such a cool community they’re building! If you’re into morels hunting or wanting to get into it, this is THE place !! Highly recommend !!

### 5/5 — Amazing new tool for mushroom foraging

*2026-04-14*

I started using Geoforager last fall and have been amazed by its capabilities. While I think they originally designed it for burn morel hunting, and it has an incredible wealth of relevant dataifor that, including their own morel-probability maps, it has a wealth of data for hunting all kinds of mushrooms: dominant tree types, precipitation, soil temperatures, roads, trails and just about anything else you can imagine would be useful in identifying good locations for mushroom foraging. They are constantly adding new features, often based on user requests. I have found the new property ownership data especially useful, allowing me to find public land for foraging and also contact owners of private land to get permission or purchase permits to forage in areas with less harvest pressure. I can’t begin to express how grateful I am for this amazing tool!

### 5/5 — A Shroom Hunter's best friend

*2026-04-14*

This is my second year using this app and the number of new map layers added just this year is astounding. You can save maps with all their layers for off-line use.

Most importantly, the developers are extremely passionate and devoted to the art of mushroom foraging, as well as mashing up all the available data across the web into this one app. You have the ability to customize all the layers to help you find the flushes. (snow pack, precipitation over past time periods, burn areas for morels, trails, roads, tree species just to name a few)

### 5/5 — The best foraging app out there!

*2026-04-14*

Been using this app for over a year (paid version) and it’s well worth it. Nothing else gives you this kind of data, and the founder generously host informational sessions with insider tips. Update it regularly cause there’s always new features!

### 5/5 — Secret Sauce

*2026-04-14*

This app is amazing. The off-line maps is the best part. And the Morrell probability overlay is also quite clever. It’s easy to use right out of the box but if you really drill down and maybe catch a webinar or two it’s mind-boggling how much you can learn. Now, if you’re in Western Oregon absolutely DO NOT buy this app. That’s where I pick 😉

### 5/5 — Best Tool for Morels

*2026-04-14*

Was completely new to morel picking before using this app. After using this and the webinars I found 35 pounds in my first season. Amazing support and education resources, it's worth every penny

### 2/5 — App won’t load

*2026-04-10*

The app just keeps spinning and spinning, won’t even load to let me sign in or anything

**Developer response:** Please just delete and re-install. If you haven't used it in a few months, it needs updated. Sorry for the inconvenience. Sincerely, Trent

### 5/5 — Geoforager is phenomenal

*2026-02-18*

This year’s new updated geoforager app has everything you need to hunt and find morels. There’s more information than you can possibly even use in one outing, but the app is also useful for so much more. Weather buffs as well as general outdoor enthusiasts will love it and find it helpful in many ways. This year they even included recent clear cuts, which can also be very productive for disturbance morels

**Developer response:** Thanks Mike! We added a bunch more weather, tree and precipitation data overlays and reports since Feb 2026 - check them out :)
