You’re absolutely right that incorporating additional field data such as hardness, specific gravity, and acid reaction would allow for a more constraint-driven identification process. Combining those inputs with image analysis would move the app closer to a structured diagnostic workflow rather than relying primarily on visual interpretation. At the moment, Geology Toolkit is focused on making rock identification and learning accessible for students and enthusiasts using image-based analysis. However, expanding toward more data-informed identification for advanced users is something I’m very interested in exploring as the app evolves. I appreciate you taking the time to share such detailed input - it helps shape where the app can go next!
