I use this app for work as a tattooed and its great when it works but it crashes all the time and for the price you would’ve thought they’d fix it!! I have emailed several times and not heard back from them. It is very expensive but I keep it’s it is so good when it works! I would love to get a response to sort the issues out I’m having with the app.

Has some nice features, useful if you do a lot of mandalas or pattern work. I do have an older gen iPad, so I’m not sure if this is everyone’s experience, but on my end I’ve had a couple bug/glitch issues. Multiple times significant amounts of work have disappeared, whether it be the last couple minutes of work or a whole dang project file gone. As you can imagine, super frustrating, and when I’m using an app for work I want something reliable. 
I was also disappointed to find out that the “free trial” period was actually not at all free, I was immediately charged, and there was no easy way to refund or cancel..

The actual app it’s self is probably good. However you can’t draw without a Apple Pencil and you have to pay £120.00 every year. What an actual scam. I’m sorry but not everyone is a millionaire. Tbh you will make more money if you put the price down bc people will bun

Great app! However, it has crashed from time to time. I was just putting up with it because it was not often enough to make things difficult. But now it is crashing the moment l open it and I cannot get my drawings off of it or finish half done ones. I will renew my subscription one more time in hopes it gets fixed because other than that the app is fantastic.

Program is unique and useful, but there are problems that can be annoying. For one, once any guide or ruler tool handles are outside your canvas, they can no longer be grabbed or moved… forcing you to delete them entirely. Secondly, the color picker is affected by blends, transparency etc… so color picking 50% transparent black will give you grey, not black.

The last issue I have is the price. $16 a month is pretty extreme compared to what that gets you in other disciplines and spaces. Entire cad packages, full art suites, the sum collection of all humanities music etc. The entire adobe app collection is $50 a month and that’s every major creative discipline there is at a professional level. As much as I like this app overall, I’m going to end up cancelling my sub because it’s just too much for the functionality offered. I’ve read the other reviews, I’ve seen the developer responses.. they don’t change the math here.

Regarding to Procreate or Amaziograph, the price is just….keeping me away from giving it a try.
Unique buy is better. Always looks like a rip off with monthly subscription.

Don’t even bother downloading this unless you are willing to sign up for a trial period. There is absolutely nothing you can do for free. A box pops up asking which plan you want to buy and it doesn’t go away. I personally think this is disgusting. A person should be able to get a sense of what they are getting before they purchase. It may be a great app, but I was not allowed to find out. Therefore I have to base my rating on what I know, which is just greed.

This app seems pretty cool, and I do recognize they provide monthly patterns to add some value to the subscription, but the pricing is just outrageous. 

It’s also frustrating that the pricing is somewhat hard to see on the App Store page, so you may not realize the cost until you download the app. 

I like to doodle on my iPad in apps like Procreate and Mandala Maker, so I found Geometrica while looking for an app that provided better symmetry than Procreate, but with more artistic tools than an app like Mandala Maker, which lacks proper Pencil support. 

I do this in occasional bursts, sometimes not for months at a time. The subscription model isn’t reasonable for casual enjoyers like me. I’d have hesitations paying $5/month, let alone an obscene $17/month. 

I promptly uninstalled and shortly after, I found Amaziograph, which works incredibly for my use case, and costs 99 cents for a permanent license.

I respect the fact that developing software is a lot of work, and if this lets you provide for your family then more power to you, but I want you to know that you’re missing out on a lot of potential customers with the extremely expensive subscription only model. I would’ve happily tried out a free basic version and paid to unlock more patterns and brushes. I would’ve also been happy to buy a permanent license, and I could see myself paying $30 for it, maybe more if I was really in love with the app. 

Instead there’s no way I will ever use this app again, because you’re competing with 99 cent permanent license apps that also offer great, unique feature sets.

Ist es jetzt leider nicht mehr. Hab so viel damit gearbeitet, sämtliche meiner geometrischen Motive damit erstellt und immer gern dafür gezahlt, weil ich hier einfach unterstützen wollte. Aber mittlerweile? Nicht nur keine Neuerungen obwohl die App ja nur mit Abo-Gebühr nutzbar ist, nein, die App ist nur noch am spinnen. Auto Save funktioniert nicht mehr, riesige Dateien, viele Stunden Arbeit, einfach futsch. Und dafür so viel Kohle zahlen? Schade aber… Nee, Danke

You can’t even hit the redo button without a subscription pop up appear. At that point just make the app paid to buy not look like it’s free with a voluntary subscription not a mandatory subscription.

I’m extremely disappointed with this app. Geometrica is quite pricey, and for that cost I expect stability — not constant crashes and data loss.

The app crashes frequently, doesn’t reliably save artwork, and now it won’t even open a new page for art at all. I’ve lost multiple artworks that I spent hours-days working on, which is unacceptable for a creative tool. On top of that, the brushes suddenly started behaving strangely and unpredictably, making it impossible to work properly.

I tried reinstalling the app, but that didn’t help at all.

This is especially frustrating because Geometrica was a great tool when it worked. Unfortunately, in its current state it’s unreliable and not worth the price. Until these issues are fixed and data loss is addressed, I can’t recommend it.

Download Procreate and learn how to use the symmetry tool- one time fee. I don’t know how this in comparison to photoshop/adobe, since there’s a paywall to get into the app, even though it’s a free download-but this is way more than it needs to be. If you need extra money, just say that and ask for donations.
139$ a year for an app? Not only lost me at the price, but was baffled that there was a paywall in an art app. To even use it. Morals of a capitalist wanting to make money off of artists

Hands down the best geometric drawing app available. If you use geometry in your art you need this app. Been using it since the kickstarter gave me an early release & it’s still the first app I open when ready to work. Worth every penny.

I’ve had Geometrica on my IPad Pro for about a year and a half now. The first year I was lucky enough to be able to afford the annual subscription and have continued with the monthly and I can’t express enough how worth while this app is. Whether you’re a seasoned tattoo artist or simply crave symmetry and some sort of order in the chaotic landscape we live in these days; this app is for you, for us. I love having the tools to create sacred geometric patterns and mandalas digitally without having to copy, paste, rotate and place over and over and over again.
While Geometrica is a very simple and straightforward app, it boasts the capability of helping you create even the most complex and far from simple creations. Do yourself a favor and subscribe. 
Thank you to the creators of this wonderfully crafted, very niche app. You’ve positively aided in the development of my craft and my ability to see the world thru a kaleidoscopic lense.

This is an amazing app. Very well done and thought out. Some complain about price which is ridiculous. If you’re using it for any type of professional application and aren’t able to receive multiple times the cost then just don’t buy it. Why complain? I think this is well worth the money. I can’t draw. I’ve never been able to draw, so I rely on apps that help me to do that. I’ve used a plethora of apps to design mandalas, wallpapers and geometrical patterns. I’ve created over 5,000 designs for people to colour. Then I came across Geometrica, which is mostly known as an app primarily used by tattoo artists. Geometrica you are much more than that. I’m afraid I cannot let you just have this for tattoo artists, it’s the most amazing app for the designs I draw, and many other people I have introduced it to agree with me. I might add it’s the only app that I have watched every instructional video because the capabilities of this app are huge. Using two guides at the same time, mandalas that have 200 rotations, perfect guides for circles, ovals, and a ruler…… the list goes on. Geometrica is a phenomenal app in a number of ways. Designers give this app a try, you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend this amazing design tool.

Thank you to the designer of this app Corey Ferguson, you have added a marvellous tool for the designing world, and techniques for many people that are not tattoo artists. I’m just entering my second year with Geometrica and have basically left my old design apps.  Once you’ve used Geometrica you will be delighted!

I’ve been using this app since it’s release. It’s been updated several times since then. Adding new features and the developers take feedback well. It won’t be for everyone. You can read the reviews about the insane price compared to other apps. Don’t let that deter your decision. Millions of people aren’t using this app. Nobody is getting rich from making Geometrica. Hardworking tattooers who wanna help all the other tattooers spent years developing it. And continue to do so. This app is design for people who use it for tattooing, which I do. It’s a business expense that I make back in the first tattoo I do after subscribing. The years I spent making similar patterns in AI have been made effortless with this app. My time is worth way more that $120/year. Will it be worth it if you just want to doodle some designs? Probably not, there are other free or cheap apps that can accomplish that. But if you art a professional artist that actually sells your art, this app is for you.
