### 1/5 — Just terrible

*2021-11-19, version 1.0.28*

It really just doesn’t work. Half the stuff I tried to use either didn’t work right or never worked at all. Not to mention it’s painfully outdated. Some of the things that are wrong are so easy to fix it’s laughable, like the app not even taking up the whole screen (hint to GA Power developers: set the height and width constraints to the safe area edges, not a fixed height!)

### 1/5 — Garbage Piece Of Trash

*2021-09-26, version 1.0.28*

I’m sick of for e closing this app just for It to tell me “you have multiple accounts active, wait until you log out or until the session has expired.” But tells me that I’ve logged put successfully. Then I have to go through the trouble of calling someone which takes minutes or an hour. Brain dead employees who don’t want to fix this crap!!!!!

### 1/5 — GAPower App is lousy

*2021-09-01, version 1.0.28*

This app deserve ZERO STARS. You would think with all the money GA Power charges it’s customers they would have better technology services to offer their customers, however this app is not worth the energy used to create it. Every time you hit the back button to review the previous screen the app locks up and you can’t do anything at that time. I also end up having to turn my phone off to get the app to reset. This is so frustrating and not worth the time to use it. I guess GA Power has no regard for their customers but you best believe they will make sure they get your money every month!
Do better by your customers Ga Power and invest our money in getting a better app that actually works!!!!

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2021-07-17, version 1.0.28*

By far this is the worst app I’ve ever used. After trying over a half hour to set it up for auto pay each month, I gave up. It’s slow running and a bit confusing to add the info it wants. Once you do it gives an error message for something you’ve entered. My info was correct so not sure why. I’ll continue mailing a check each month and won’t be messing with this dang app again. I have enough aggravation in my life and don’t need more.

### 1/5 — DO BETTER GEORGIA POWER

*2021-07-12, version 1.0.28*

This app messed up my goal of getting 12 on time payments now I have to start over AND I lost my deposit. Did GP do that on purpose? How hard could it be to fix the website?
Can’t say GP doesn’t have enough money...
After all electricity is essential.
Please pay attention to your customers.
Side note : Ur customer service reps are rude! GP must be mistreating them as well.

### 1/5 — Complete Trash

*2021-06-20, version 1.0.28*

How is it possible that a company as big as GP has a trashy app like this. It is near to impossible to complete any function without having to log out and log back in. The usage information is sketchy. Sometimes it’s up to date and available to see. Other times it’s not. I hate that I have no other option but to deal with this company. How is this not a monopoly? They are not going to make improvements because we are forced to deal with their practices because they have no competitors. It’s despicable!!!!!!!

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2021-06-08, version 1.0.28*

With all the money GA Power rakes in you’d think they could spare a little to make this app a little more user friendly. If I could give this app zero stars I absolutely would! It’s been updated MAYBE twice since they came out with it. What app doesn’t have facial recognition compatibility nowadays? You guessed it, this one. I hate this app with every single fiber of my being. I’ve become so frustrated with this app before that, if I had the option, I would switch to another power company. 0/5 Stars. 10/10 would not recommend.

### 1/5 — Horrible app

*2021-05-27, version 1.0.28*

First this app doesn’t save my login information. I have to re-log in every time I try to pay my bill. It also never saved my account number. What’s the point of this app if I can do the same exact thing on their website?
If my work laptop worked on the GA Power website I would never use this app!

### 1/5 — Update ur system and employees

*2021-04-27, version 1.0.28*

system is by far the slowest and dumbest I’ve dealt with from the time u get thru ga power customer service and then they transfer you to a secondary payment company and u go thru their worst automated system it’s passed 3pm and when u get through and make the payment before 3 they still don’t guarantee that they will turn on ur power. Some of the worst service ever.

### 1/5 — Trash app

*2020-10-29, version 1.0.28*

This is the worst billing app I’ve ever used. You would think a company like Georgia power would offer better service. It’s like they don’t care because we are going to pay them anyways because we need electricity. If you like me georgia power the only company that supply my area. If I had other options I’ll definitely change based on the inconvenience of this app.

### 1/5 — Very bad app

*2020-08-11, version 1.0.28*

You cannot see your balance when trying to pay your bill so you have to try to remember the amount whan using a cc. Also if you get to the page where you have to put in the amount and realize you didn’t memorize your bill amount you cannot go back and look because the ‘back’ button doesn’t work. Your only option is to close the app, and when you try to log back in, memorize your bill amount and account number, enter the data and try it all again you get a message that you have an open seasion and have to wait for it to expire. This is a really bad app tha could be so simple to use!

### 1/5 — Trash trash app

*2020-07-09, version 1.0.28*

Georgia Power who made this app, a kid in your basement. Oh no, wait...I kid couldn’t have made it because it would have better appealing that this crap. Out of all the utilities out there; you guys have the worst developed app. I think you know it doesn’t work and simply don’t care because people need power and surely they aren’t going to not pay their bill because of an app. However other people rather move to places where they can get better offerings, who have the brain to produce an app that would be better than this. Do better as a company. Do better as a nation! Do better Georgia Power (A Southern Company)

### 1/5 — Lazy darn near useless app

*2020-05-07, version 1.0.28*

I don’t have problem with paying like many others because I have auto withdrawal from my bank account.

However, when you trust a utility that can vary in cost month to auto withdrawal, you need to keep a pretty close eye on forecasted costs.

I have a heat pump that is near the end of its life so I worry about it cycling far too often to maintain a comfortable temperature. Thus, I tend to log in every day or two to check my usage to make sure my expected bill is within range of what I expect.

This app, unlike almost every app released in the last 6 years doesn’t allow you to use alternative credentials such as Touch-ID, Face-ID, or Apple Watch to log you in.

When you log in, you have to manually enter your password every time. There is zero benefit to using the app over the desktop site other than it’s formatted better for iPhone screen.

You made a convenience app that’s not convenient. Go back to your desk and don’t resubmit your assignment until you understand why people want an app.

### 1/5 — Absolute Garbage

*2020-03-21, version 1.0.28*

This “app” is trash (just like the company) Essentially just a home screen shortcut to the GA Power website. None of your info auto-populates, so write it down before you move on to the next page because you can’t go back and to add to the frustration, it’ll tell you that you will, but you won’t get charged a $2.25 fee if you use a debit card. Also, make sure you link your checking account with them before you attempt to pay your bill or you’ll get charged a $30 “returned check fee” and won’t be notified until your power gets turned off.

### 1/5 — I give it a no star rating if I could

*2019-11-18, version 1.0.28*

Absolutely the worst app I have ever dealt with. I have called the company many times and they have no interest in listening to my problems. I’ve given up. From now on the check is in the mail. When you are a monopoly and customers are not allowed to select alternative companies to provide the service they simply don’t care.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2019-11-04, version 1.0.28*

This app is terrible. How can a company the size of Georgia Power make it so insanely difficult to pay your bill? ... oh yeah, they have no competition! Nevermind - Georgia Power, you just do whatever you want to, or do nothing at all - it’s totally your choice! It’s not like we ‘The Customer’ have any other options. It’s ok that I just spent 30 minutes ‘trying’ to pay my bill. If it takes me another 30 or 45 minutes to get you to accept $200 from me, well that’s ok too - it’s just the price I’ll have to pay for the pleasure of doing business with you.

### 1/5 — It was 5 but now 1 star

*2019-09-13, version 1.0.28*

I’ve been using this app for few years and never had a single problem I would add money to my account few times a month no problem they will call when it is low it was quick and easy now the last 3 week I’ve had the same problem as everyone else I thought maybe It was something trying to get the information but reading these reviews it’s happing to everyone I called to pay over the phone and the lady said uninstall and reinstall I was waiting b4 I did that just to see but 3 weeks now it says website down for repairs please fix this site tons of ppl need this app to work properly or don’t charge the fees if you can’t fix this is unbelievable I was one of the ppl backing ya power but now I’m just as p o as everyone else

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Mobile app - but no mobile payment option!

*2023-01-30, version 1.0.28*

The purpose of an app is to make things easier/more streamlined for mobile users, rather than having to log into the website in a browser. This app doesn’t make anything easier. It’s basically just a copy of the website that comes with an app icon, and is cumbersome to use.

The main issue I have: I pay my bills making mobile payments… but I could not find this option in the app, the only reason why I downloaded the app in the first place! To make mobile payments (such as Apple Pay) I still have to log into the account in the browser, which renders the app completely useless to me.
Why does the mobile app not have a mobile payment capability?

### 1/5 — It is actually that bad…

*2023-01-14, version 1.0.28*

Before downloading, I told myself this app couldn’t possibly be as bad as the reviews indicate. Besides, all I want to be able to do was login and monitor my hourly energy usage for my TOU plan.

But you can’t even login. The login screen is so busted that the password auto fills don’t work. Copy/paste selects the wrong field. The app display doesn’t fit on “new” iPhones (as in like iPhone 5 or whenever it was that the home screens added a row of icons).

I could go on… don’t waste your time with this app unless Georgia Power actually dedicates some resources to fixing this mess of an app at some point in the future.

### 1/5 — Absolutely garbage, probably on purpose

*2022-12-22, version 1.0.28*

That title says it all... If the app works it requires a ridiculous amount of login info. I had to ask them after signing up for the info. It can't be made simple, it won't allow the phone to save login.... Like ever other app in the world. Once finally get logged in its difficult to simply pay the bill! I entered all my info and couldn't slide the screen over to press confirm. This app is the most thoughtless, poorly designed app I have encountered. I can't view my bills. Viewing usage data requires another login in. I feel you made this app like this in hopes that people won't be able to pay their bill and GA power gets to charge even more fees for disconnection and reconnection. GA power is a monopoly. I hate this app. Hate is a very strong word so I stick with it!

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2022-10-11, version 1.0.28*

The app barely functions. When you try and open the pdf bill it crashes, when you touch the link for pdf bill it opens then any other tap on the screen and the app shuts down.

Hasn’t been updated in five years. Try and submit a comment to them for fixing? Good luck! The link here in the App Store takes you back to the app! Which has no ability to send comments about their app. Oh and I LOVE being charge extra for the “convenience” of paying my bill on-line. Hello! It’s basically 2023 and you want me to either pay by check (um checks?) or a 4 buck fee. Your company is the worst.

### 1/5 — Don't waste your time with this app

*2022-10-08, version 1.0.28*

Complete trash. I love Georgia Power but this app is absolute trash. It's literally just a tiny browser in the app that loads the website but with limitations.

It's not a "real" app and is just a limited workaround for them just to simply say they have a mobile app.

App crashes looking at the bill, etc. Much better off just loading Safari/Chrome/Firefox and going directly to the site.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2022-07-15, version 1.0.28*

This app is insanely terrible. It is not comparable with Apple whatsoever. You can’t pay your bill. When you attempt to, it tells you that you cannot be logged in because of another login window which is not true. Just get rid of it or put money into a better design because this is not it.

### 1/5 — App won’t take payment!!!

*2022-06-23, version 1.0.28*

This is NOT any way to run a business! There are no offices open for the public to pay their bill! The app won’t take a debit card payment! You must have cash to make a payment at a retail store, and pay a service fee to the retail store to make your payment! Very very poor way to run a business!!! Plus this review page wants a name that’s never been used, in order to post my review.

### 1/5 — Unable to log in

*2022-05-15, version 1.0.28*

I use a password manager. I try to use long, complicated, unique passwords for every set of credentials. This stupid app has made it impossible for me to enter my password using the password manager. I can’t use the keyboard when choosing the password, so I can’t enter the name “Georgia Power” to retrieve the right credential. And I can’t copy it to clipboard and paste it into field. Selection of the password field appears to also be broken.

The Devs did some weird stuff to the login. So I’m completely unable to log in and use this app.

### 1/5 — Please intervene, Apple

*2022-04-14, version 1.0.28*

This is a “finance” app for monthly utility bills that hasn’t been updated in 4 years. I’m scared every time I pay my bill. There’s gotta be some sort of security violation by now. I don’t even know where to begin on how bad this app is. For the love of god, please find a way to warrant a notice that the app will be removed unless standard criteria are met so they have to do something about it.

I’m used to the idea that occasionally I’ll see iPhone aspect ratio on my iPad….but RARELY at that.

The last IPHONE to use that ratio was like the 4 or 5S. This isn’t some dead app people miss. They’re managing TRANSACTIONS in this crap! PLEASE DO SOMETHING.

### 1/5 — Parts not working

*2022-01-23, version 1.0.28*

While I was on the app a box popped up asking if I would answer some questions about my power usage. I clicked yes. It took me to another page. A blank page. Nothing happened. When I pressed the back button, nothing happened. The app was frozen. I am using an iPhone 11 with the latest iOS. In addition, for the past two months that I have been using this app, I have clicked on “feedback”. The app always goes to another page, a blank page and freezes. You cannot get back to the app and must shut down the app. As I said this has been going on for months. Like other people have said, this app is horrible.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — NO ISSUES

*2023-04-27*

I don’t understand what y’all be cryin about. I just made my first payment on the app with no issues whatsoever. I also went only and found the information to be exactly the same. Even signed up for auto pay for convenience. No app should let you copy and paste your account info, that’s for your own financial safety!! Y’all be crazy with all this negativity, maybe update you app or take a basic class on how to operate basic procedures…🤙🏻

### 5/5 — Worked fine for me

*2021-10-25, version 1.0.28*

Downloaded it, put in my info and paid bill… no problems…

### 5/5 — What is all the fuss about?

*2020-07-30, version 1.0.28*

Within a few minutes, I was able to download the app login and make a payment without any problem at all. Maybe you’re using an older version but this current version seems to work just fine.

Try it again.

Ps I only used the payment option and haven’t looked for other bugs.

### 5/5 — Very Easy to Use

*2019-04-22, version 1.0.28*

I had to make a payment with my phone, and the app worked great, easy to use, moved quick. Great option to have when you need it.

### 5/5 — Worked for me

*2019-01-21, version 1.0.28*

Despite all the negative reviews, I downloaded the app anyway. I didn’t have any trouble at all signing in or paying my bill. I’m using an iPhone 7 Plus. No time outs; no glitches. Great app!!

### 5/5 — Worked fine for me

*2018-03-16, version 1.0.28*

I have an iPhone 6 on the Net10 wireless network and this app worked well for me. The download was quick, logging in was simple and submitting my payment was three quick buttons. Thanks for bringing utility payments into 2018!

### 5/5 — Love this app!!! No more power bill surprises

*2017-09-20, version 1.0.28*

I like that I can see daily how much power we are using. Sometimes the bar to view the daily bar chart doesn't slide well but the rest of the app is designed so clearly and gives me the information I want that I still love this app!!

### 4/5 — Works Well!

*2017-09-12, version 1.0.28*

No issues loading or using the app. No floating fonts or any other such nonsense. Outage map renders the same way as their website. Can't vouch for the online payment since mine is set up to auto-debit my account (why fool with having to manually pay the bill every month?).

BTW, rating any app low because it won't let you paste a password is idiotic (security much?). Any app that DOES allow it has lazy developers who don't much care about secure practices.

### 3/5 — It’s nice

*2019-06-04, version 1.0.28*

I love being able to see what my daily usage is and try to cut back when I see it getting high. I wish that my iPad didn’t get the app in a window the size of my phone. Being a developer myself I find that annoying enough to drop to 4 stars. The first 7 days of my billing cycle are a little annoying as well. It won’t default to the chart until I’m on the 7th day of my billing cycle. I can get to it by showing the table view and then switching to chart view, but I shouldn’t have to work so hard to find a way around the obvious bug. For this, it loses another star.

### 3/5 — Displays bill PDFs, but can’t download

*2018-01-05, version 1.0.28*

The Georgia Power iPhone App has good information. One glaring omission is the inability to download (via iCloud, Dropbox, Google Drive, or any other means) a copy of a bill displayed as a PDF. Every App I have ever used that will display a PDF, allows it to be downloaded. Every banking and credit card App will allow the downloading of monthly statements.
Let’s hope Georgia Power and Southern Company fix this soon.
