I’ll get to the end of a long session in the water only to find that the tracking stopped fairly early on and most of my trip hasn’t been recorded. Very annoying and I stopped using it for that reason ### 4/5 — Too buggy for the money *2022-08-09, version 2.7* I am unable to update my profile, it won’t add my board, and even that is incorrectly listed!! I can’t add my home town as the update button remains greyed out. I have yet to log a paddle but to be honest I’m not holding out much hope that it will be any better. Why release and charge for software that clearly has significant issues. The trend to use the funding principle of ‘buy it now and we’ll fix it later’ is immoral. ### 3/5 — Good app but don’t forget your password!! *2022-07-31, version 2.7* Signed out by accident and have forgotten password. Clicked on forgotten password and message states check email for instructions to reset but no email comes. I thought this was an app to show places where paddle boarding is accessible. ### 4/5 — Excellent app but buggy. *2021-11-12, version 2.7* Concept and feature set of this app is excellent, it’s a brilliant way to track your time on the water and has a bunch of useful features like being able to look at others routes for inspiration and let people know where you are on the water using the trace function. The only issue is the app is very buggy. It has crashed on me numerous times and takes forever to load pages. Once the bugs are ironed out and the speed of the app picks up it will be a solid 5 stars ### 3/5 — Great when it tracks. *2021-04-27, version 2.7* This app offers great features. However, it doesn’t always seem to track motion, even when other apps are tracking. For example, on a recent paddle, the app seemed to stop tracking for the middle section, and inferred a beeline route across a peninsula. ### 3/5 — Ok *2020-10-11, version 2.5* Have issues it stops recording when I do long trips, which are the ones I’m most interested in capturing. Just did a all day event, went to submit it and the session was gone ### 3/5 — Need it on my watch *2020-07-27, version 2.3* I haven’t used this app during a paddle yet because, unlike other paddle board logging apps, I cannot put it on my watch. I don’t carry my phone with me on my board - with my luck, even with every precaution taken, my phone would still probably end up on the bottom of the lake. I like the interface and the ability to share my paddle live though; just wish I could do it from my cellular enabled Apple Watch. Any chance of that being available soon? ### 4/5 — App is simple to use. Wish it had an Apple Watch version too to see my stats while paddling. *2020-07-25, version 2.3* Everything works well. Wish there were more users in my area. Also wish it synced with Apple Watch for quick look at stats like speed distance traveled and such while paddling. Also would be great to easily toggle to a view of the map as I paddle ### 2/5 — Better Apps Are Available *2020-06-16, version 2.3* The idea is great however the app is very buggy, even after the ‘big update’ which is meant to have fixed them. I can’t use the app without at least one error message - every single time. Errors for unsupported media types - sometimes when no photos are attached. Other times when attaching a jpg and the error tells us it only supports jpg!! Error retrieving various things, most of which don’t cause a problem but annoyingly pop up and need cleared. App crashes on at least every 3 or 4 uses. The more fundamental issues are GPS accuracy - the app says I paddled 7km when my much more reliable Garmin says 4km. It’s consistently massively overstating distance and hence speed. Second, the community nature of the app is great in practice but it’s no Strava - there only appears to be one other user within a 100km of me. Finally, no import or export. Almost all GPS based apps will allow this - I can’t record on Garmin then upload, nor export from GeoSUP to add to Strava etc. If they want a large community base they need to allow importing and exporting - I could add a lot more paddles overnight if they did. Summary - for recording your paddle just use the likes of Strava until they sort it out or pay for the other SUP app. ### 3/5 — Very good, but *2019-11-24, version 1.1.5* The app is easy to use, accurate and a good way to log sorties. I paid for the premium features and then realised that there is another app out there that has Apple Watch functionality. I now use the other app. Would come back to this one if Apple Watch support was added. ### 3/5 — Good looks & works but has issues *2019-09-19, version 1.1.5* It works and I like the interface but the share option doesn’t seem to work. Also it appears that you cannot amend once uploaded. For some reason, even though I put I was on the sea it’s put sea canal sea. And I can’t find any way of changing it. For an app that costs I think it could be better. Maybe there will be updates that will get the share option working. The app shows you a map of where you’ve been, how fast you went and wind speeds, after you’ve paddled you can then share it with the community of SUPs. My favourite feature is the map section, from there you can see if anybody has paddled in your area. Excellent customer support when I had some problems. ‘Strava like’ safety features such as LIVE SHARE for much less money than it is on Strava! I like the leaderboard feature too- one day I will be on top of the leaderboard!
