### 2/5 — Flawed In-App Purchase

*2014-01-30, version 4.1*

I downloaded the app and made the $5 in-app purchase for access to the audio and flash card quiz feature. Soon after, I had to delete the app and reinstall it because of some crashing issues.

The problem I'm now having is that there is no way to restore my in-app purchase. I'm out $5 and the developer support team has not responded to my emails.

I'm hopeful that I will be made whole someday, and that the devs will update their app to allow the restoration of in-app purchases after a reinstallation.

### 3/5 — German Verb Trainer

*2013-09-28, version 4.0*

I really like this app however it needs to hint which form of sie (she or they) is being asked for. Often both conjugations are in the answers and I inevitably pick the wrong one.

### 3/5 — Good app as soon as a few fixes are made

*2013-09-12, version 4.0*

Have the add-on be less pricey or add more to it. Also PLEASE tell us which "sie" you're talking about and when on the quizzes

### 3/5 — Nearly there...

*2011-09-29, version 3.0.2*

Very useful app for reference and the quiz is very fun. If the sie/Sie issue is corrected then it would be 4/5 stars. Crashing is no longer a problem for me since recent upgrades. Recommended.

### 2/5 — Good concept but buggy

*2011-08-09, version 2.0.4*

Great structure for self-drilling to learn verb meanings and conjugations, but it crashes every eight or nine questions, and never remembers my quiz settings when I reboot the app, so I have to reset them only to have the app crash again seconds later (not an issue with the Spanish version of the same app). Also, in German the pronoun sie can be 3rd person singular OR plural, calling for different verb endings, meaning you're arbitrarily penalized on half your answers for conjugations for sie.

### 3/5 — Please fix the bug

*2011-07-09, version 2.0.4*

Hey this looked like a cool little app but has a bug in it that crashes during the quiz. Really disappointing!

### 2/5 — I think it could be good

*2011-06-03, version 2.0.4*

It looks like it could be a useful app but it crashes constantly in the quiz mode. I mean constantly.

### 3/5 — Good but needs work

*2011-05-25, version 2.0.2*

Good app, the quiz is really good for learning the correct verb ending, but it crashes constantly on iPhone 4. Would be nice to have a percentage ratio of correct answers on the quiz and save them to history so you can look back and see if your improving.

### 2/5 — Little Problem

*2011-04-29, version 2.0.1*

Verb Trainer's dictionary looks good. But little problem, Verb trainer's quiz has been crashed on my iPhone. >:(

### 1/5 — Rip off

*2021-09-22, version 5.2.1*

Bought it used it - great app - try to use it the next day and it won’t let me use it or contact the supplier

### 1/5 — Won’t recognise purchase BUG

*2021-04-02, version 5.2.1*

Not happy so far. I liked what I saw in the free version, so decided to purchase.
just paid for the full version, but it won’t recognise the purchase in the app, and crashes when I try almost any of the links within the App (such as Contact us).
If I try Restore Purchases, it goes into an endless spin...
Finding who to contact took a while - waiting for a response.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2017-10-23, version 5.2.1*

Won't allow me to register by email or link my account.

### 1/5 — How about a free quiz or two

*2014-10-13, version 4.1*

Free is not necessarily free. Since I am already somewhat proficient in German, I went right to the quiz. At this point I was prompted to purchase. I wouldn't mind paying, but this was not a fair trial and leaves a bad taste in my mouth for the developer.

### 1/5 — Total junk!

*2013-09-02, version 4.0*

App didn't work at all. A window appeared wanting me to purchase more and could not get rid of it. I'm giving it one star because 0 stars is not an option.

### 1/5 — Needs correcting

*2011-09-22, version 3.0.2*

The developers have not distinguished between Sie and sie, making this app mostly useless: In German the pronouns for 'you' and for 'she' are written 'Sie' with a capital and 'sie' without a capital. The verb endings for each are different, but with this App you cannot tell whether they mean sie or Sie so there is no way pf knowing the right answer. Correct it please!

Otherwise the basic idea is good, and the interface is fun.

### 1/5 — Buggy app, poorly done

*2011-05-22, version 2.0.2*

The app crashes all the time, e.g. when selecting a verb, when changing from dictionary to quiz - very unstable. The selection of verbs on the iPad has words displayed over words, making for a messy display. There is no way to see which verbs you have selected for being quizzed on besides going to each individual verb. The app is a good idea, but poorly executed.

### 1/5 — Shuts down

*2011-03-02, version 1.0*

Always shuts down and closes out... Really disappointed. Would be a good app. But I'd rather have my $2 back.

### 2/5 — Sad face

*2015-09-18, version 5.0.11*

I think this is an AMAZING app with so much potential... It's too bad it crashes All the time 😔

### 2/5 — Not free

*2015-05-15, version 4.1*

If an app is going free, stop asking customers to update with all the ads popping up.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great reference tool!!

*2016-01-09, version 5.0.13*

I got the verb trainer for Portuguese originally. The tool was so complete, that it became a lifesaver to help learn conjugations well. Please continue to enhance these apps. They are amazing!!!!

### 5/5 — Great help!

*2015-02-05, version 4.1*

This app has helped me so much. And the fact that you can put in a conjugated verb is awesome when trying to navigate the language in real life. I've recommended to all my German classmates!

### 5/5 — Good app

*2013-12-22, version 4.1*

This app does verb conjugations in several tenses. Looks nice, is easy to use, etc. I would recommend the devs add the auxiliary verb with the Perfekt tense though. But that is only a small complaint.

Also, a lot of the extra features, you have to pay for. I was unable to use the quiz or listen to audio so just an FYI. You can still conjugate as much as you want.

### 5/5 — Great help!

*2012-03-25, version 3.3*

A really good app to help with german verbs. It helped me out a lot in my german lessons and is great when you don't understand a few things!

### 4/5 — They or she?

*2014-05-18, version 4.1*

This is a very good app. Except that in the quiz, you do not know if the "sie" with small s is meant to be "they" or "she". So, you lose points. This is unfair! I think the developper could fix this easily.

### 4/5 — I like it, but...

*2013-08-07, version 4.0*

This app needs to be less pricey, put the verb first in quizzes and specify which "sie" (she or they) is being asked for, again in the quizzes.

I love that I can choose which verbs I wish to use in the quizzes in the advanced version, and also which tense to concentrate on. I like that I can take the quiz at a fast pace, if I choose, but I can't get many correct in a row owing to the "sie" issue.

### 3/5 — Verb problrm

*2020-07-23, version 5.2.1*

All of the verb not exist in app why!!?

### 3/5 — It has potential

*2015-09-29, version 5.0.11*

The app's concept is good but it's usage is limited due to its content.

The list of verbs available includes just basic verbs. Too expensive for its usability.
It would be great if you include verbs to at least intermediate level.

Please note that the app crashes under the following conditions:
Training, Preterite, modal verbs, waren (to be)
Immediately after selecting the answer (wit) the application shuts.

### 3/5 — Issues with SIE

*2015-02-19, version 4.1*

I would have given this app 5 stars except that there is a serious flaw: in the verb quiz, there is no way to tell if "sie" indicates "she" or "they." This destroys my perfect streak every time I use the quiz. It is very unfair and I don't believe that the developers couldn't fix this if they wanted to. I have noticed that other users have had a problem with this issue also. If you'd fix this one issue, I could give this app 5 stars. As long as this major fault persists, I will feel that I was generous in giving it three.

### 3/5 — She and they.

*2014-12-09, version 4.1*

There is no way for the user to figure out which is what.
