## What is GESMD Edición 2020?

El Grupo Español de Síndromes Mielodisplásicos (GESMD) tiene como fin principal fomentar y desarrollar la investigación sobre los Síndromes MIelodisplásicos (SMD), agrupando a todas aquellas personas dedicadas a la investigación, diagnóstico y tratamiento de los pacientes con estos procesos.  
Su interés último es contribuir, junto a las personas afectadas por ellos y las instituciones, a alcanzar soluciones integrales que reduzcan o incluso erradiquen las consecuencias de este grupo de enfermedades. Los valores que  sustentan estos objetivos son la independencia del colectivo profesional respecto de la industria farmacéutica y la búsqueda del beneficio social mediante el desarrollo y aplicación de terapias avanzadas contra los SMD.
