However, someone using a voice over to read their screen is not even able to create an account. Please consider working with blind people to make this app usable. The service is going to be available in my area by 1 September, and I sadly will not be able to use it at all because of the barrier you have created by not considering accessibility. ### 1/5 — Data breach *2025-05-02, version 1.1.6* The first QR code on the vehicle was a broken link, the second got me signed up just for me to discover that no rides were available. My ride history contains a data breach revealing many previous rides others have taken in other cities. I then found no way to delete my account or contact help, only a PDF explaining that they have the right to track me. I wonder who has my phone, address and email this time? The app icon is also improperly cropped. Just remember to tip your driver! ### 2/5 — Great concept, terrible app *2024-12-28* I really love the idea behind Gest – it’s such a great travel concept, and I was excited to use it to get around the city. However, the app itself is extremely frustrating to use. Every time I try to enter an address, the app crashes, and the screen just turns white. I’ve tried restarting, reinstalling, and updating, but the issue keeps happening. I really hope the developers address these bugs soon because I can see a lot of potential in this service. Once the app is fixed and more stable, I’d happily use it regularly. For now, I’ll have to wait and hope for improvements. Fingers crossed for an update soon! ### 2/5 — Super buggy. Non-functional *2024-09-22* The app is super buggy. Once you’ve created your account, the first step is to select your city of service and your pickup location. Once set (i.e., save), the app will try to aggregate your location. … Then the bugs begin to manifest. While navigating the map, it will jitter severely. Not smooth at all. You will swipe, it will move and stop midway. In case you’re wondering… it’s not an internet connectivity issue. It will take several swipes to get where you need to go. Once you’ve managed to drop the map pin to your intended destination and tap on save, the app will do two things: 1) Aggregate your destination’s address and actually perform as expected, or… 2) Give you the “white screen of death.” Nothing happens and you’re forced to restart the app. I love the concept of the app/service, but this app is severely handicapped. Hopefully we’ll see a change in the near future. ### 2/5 — Love the idea, not the execution *2022-08-17* I love the idea of Gest and when it works, it’s awesome. My issue is that 95% of the time I call a Gest cart, a driver never picks up. And yes, I’m only using the app during business hours. (Do the drivers even use the app?) Further, the app freezes on me half the time. I’ve had better luck flagging down a cart on the street.
