One honest grade for everything you buy, based on real science. Not a made-up scale. Every Gator Grade comes from published research and official safety lists: Nutri-Score and NOVA for food, EU and California rules for beauty, makers' Safety Data Sheets for cleaners, ASPCA and FDA lists for pets, and NIH limits for supplements. Every formula is public, so anyone can check the math. No brand pays for a grade, and there are no ads. Point your camera at a shelf and every product in the photo comes back graded at once. No barcode-by-barcode busywork. ONE GRADE ON EVERY SHELF Every product gets a 0 to 100 score and an A to F letter, same cut points on every shelf. No ingredient list? No grade, rather than a guess. FOOD 40% nutrition (Nutri-Score 2023), 35% processing (NOVA, from the product's own ingredient list) and 25% additive risk, each additive tiered by published safety evidence. BEAUTY & PERSONAL CARE 50% restricted ingredients, 30% fragrance allergens, 20% hidden fragrance. Ingredients prohibited or restricted in EU cosmetics, or on California's Prop 65, cap the grade instead of averaging in. CLEANING 75% hazard, 25% disclosure. The maker's Safety Data Sheet comes first; without one, each ingredient is checked against official EU hazard classifications. Harm to water life is shown separately and never lowers the letter. PET FOOD 60% additives, 40% whether the label names its animal sources. Ingredients the ASPCA and FDA list as toxic to pets mean an automatic F. SUPPLEMENTS Whether every active ingredient lists an amount, doses above the NIH adult upper limit, proprietary blends, and ingredients flagged by the FDA, California's Prop 65 or the EU. The card names the list. EAT OUT Fast-food menu items graded from each chain's nutrition and ingredient guides, not scanned. Better choices are like-for-like: soup for soup, sandwich for sandwich. EVERY FORMULA IS PUBLIC How We Grade shows each formula in plain English, with where every rule comes from. No secret sauce. BETTER PICKS Low grade? The card shows up to 3 better-graded products of the same kind (a shampoo for a shampoo, a dry puppy food for a dry puppy food) and why each grades higher. TAP ANY INGREDIENT Ingredients are color-coded by risk. Tap one to see what it is and why it's flagged. FLAGS THE INGREDIENTS YOU CHOOSE TO AVOID Log allergies and intolerances: peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, gluten, egg, soy, fish, shellfish, sesame, garlic. Pick what to watch for: added sugar, sodium, seed oils, artificial dyes, high-fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners and caffeine on food; parabens, phthalates and sulfates on beauty; bleach, ammonia and quats on cleaners; xylitol and unnamed meat by-products in pet food; fillers and stimulants in supplements. Every scan flags what you chose to watch for. 50,000+ RECIPES, GRADED BY PROCESSING A NOVA processing group on every dish, scored ingredient by ingredient.
