## What is Get It Done?

Make task managing easier by sorting work into urgent vs important: try this workflow to experience a tried-and-tested way of reducing task overload. 

Get It Done is a task manager built around the Eisenhower Matrix. A simple organising tool to create clarity and peace for your tasks. It helps decision-making on what to do now and what comes later, so your task list feels clearer.

Now with iCloud sync so that your tasks are shared across iPhone, iPad and Mac, and 'share task' functionality to quickly share tasks with partners, households or friends. 

Use GetitDone to:
- Quickly add and sort tasks
- Separate urgent work from important work
- See deadlines in calendar view

### 1.4 — 2026-03-27

- New core functionality in 1.4: iCloud Sync and Task Share!

- iCloud sync that allows cross-platform functionality. You can now add, complete and delete tasks on any device and they will appear on iPhone, Mac and iPad. The inbox is also shared across devices. 
- iCloud backups so that no data can be lost. 
- Share task functionality so partners and households can share the same infrastructure easily and reliably to handoff tasks or share responsibility.

Thanks to everyone who sent feedback and suggestions by email. This update includes several fixes and refinements based on your input.

- Improved the add/edit task text field with a surrounding box that animates with the selected category color.
- Moved the undo popup so it no longer blocks the Add a Task + button.
- Reduced undo popup duration from 10 seconds to 7 seconds.
- Top-priority tasks on the home screen can now wrap to two lines when needed.
- Fixed onboarding text legibility issues in Light Mode.

### 1.2 — 2026-03-20

Another set of functional and visual improvements in 1.2!

-	An all-new onboarding sequence highlighting the clarity that results from using an Eisenhower workflow to organise and prioritise tasks.
-	A ‘Why it Works’ section explaining some advantages of Eisenhower-assisted task management.
-	You can now quickly add a task to a quadrant when you are in that quadrant. The colour of the + button changes to match the quadrant colour, indicating that it is pre-selected in the add task function.
-	Tasks on the home screen properly refresh once tasks are 1) added or 2) moved between quadrants. Especially relevant and useful when in List Mode. 
-	Visual overhaul of the Settings menu.

Small tweaks: 
- Added a ‘Replay tutorial’ button in settings to replay the onboarding.

### 1.1 — 2026-03-15

Huge visual and functional improvements in 1.1!

- Easily export your tasks into your calendar with Calendar Export function 
- Calendar view gives an overview of your upcoming deadlines 
- Deadlines for tasks now consistently show, and appear red when the due date is in under 24 hrs 
- Aesthetic now consistent across the app (visual overhauls to Inbox, List mode, Add Task, Edit-task screen, Complete task screen, Review screen)
- Search functionality added, particularly useful in List mode 
- Notes added to tasks can now also include checklists, so checklists can be completed within a task

Small tweaks: 
- 'Delete onboarding tips' button in settings
- The Swipe-to-Delete functionality is smoother
- Aligned text properly on homescreen
- Onboarding instructions are more intuitive
