### 3/5 — It works, but slow & ineffective

*2026-05-20, version 6.4.29*

It works, but slow & ineffective. The worst part of it is that the Staff does NOT even “get it done” or quickly fix most of the VERY DANGEROUS problems on City streets & sidewalks that are reported !!!! So, like a bad biz or government Office, they ask “customers” to report bad stuff, but don’t fix the bad stuff. Kinda like a PR stunt or big biz tactic to talk loud but do little…

### 3/5 — Hit or miss

*2026-02-28, version 6.4.29*

Sometimes, you get decent turn around, and for many others you simply don’t… It can be like yelling into the void.

### 3/5 — City of SD Needs to Respond Quicker

*2025-12-13, version 6.4.29*

While the Get it Done San Diego app is great to report things like parking violations, graffiti and potholes the City of San Diego does a piss poor job of responding in a timely fashion to the reports.

### 1/5 — App was made worse with latest update

*2025-08-21, version 6.4.24*

This app used to work great, but now they did an update which now just takes you to the website and then you have to enter all of your information for your house name, phone number and email address each time you submit a report. On the prior update of the app, you did not have to do that every time. A fix needs to be made!! This is a time waster!

### 1/5 — Out of area?

*2025-08-06, version 6.4.24*

Tried to get a street light fixed and report it hasn’t been working for years. At least 4+ years. It’s in national city which is 8 mins from downtown and I’m told it’s out of area? So what good is this app even for.

### 1/5 — Laughable

*2025-07-05, version 6.4.22*

This is comically worthless and a fine example of the City’s never ending incompetence.
They will not do the required work. They will not solve the problem. But they will send you a triumphant email advising that your issue has been resolved and the case is closed.
That’s one way to report good numbers to your superiors, huh?
We are all familiar with reputation of City workers. Every ounce of that reputation is earned.
Update: I’ve tried it a few more times. Same result. Do nothing. Close the case. Report the problem as solved. Your city in ACTION.

### 1/5 — The city doesn’t really do much

*2025-02-17, version 6.4.15*

Just wondering how more pedestrians need to get run over by cars for the city to do something about pedestrian safety in this city.

### 2/5 — It used to work well but now…

*2025-01-28, version 6.4.15*

America’s Finest City usually misses trash collection in front of my property at least once a month so I use this app to report it. A few months ago, it started to throw me off onto the web browser on my phone where I am now supposed to complete the report. Which makes no sense, might as well make the report on my desktop.

### 1/5 — Fix the issues

*2024-12-24, version 6.4.15*

My car was posted two months ago and now everytime there is a parking issue my car is posted in six different areas? at the same time? a lot of people seem to be having the same issue. Fix the bugs in this app please

### 1/5 — No option to close account

*2024-10-19, version 6.4.15*

No option to close account

### 1/5 — 2 mos no response

*2024-09-19, version 6.4.15*

Car parked on street in same spot over 3 months, reported it after 1 month. Tags have since expired, tires are slowly losing air. Looks to possibly be abandoned. The app itself is easy to use, but the city doesn't seem action submissions. This is not my first submission.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Sigh. Doesn’t work.

*2026-08-21, version 7.1.6*

Just tried opening it to report yet another homeless encampment and I got a server error on their end. I guess it doesn’t like the new iPhone17?

### 1/5 — Get nothing done

*2026-08-07, version 7.1.6*

This app is a pacifier to make the powerless feel like they’ve done something about an issue. Your reports will sit for months. One of mine sat for a literal year.

### 1/5 — Terrible Update

*2026-07-13, version 7.1.5*

Today’s updates make the usability much worse. Very difficult to find functions. Many sections are either not labeled or are difficult to find.

### 1/5 — No funciona

*2026-06-09, version 6.4.29*

Pueden enviar muchos reportes y nunca son atendidos , es absurdo perder el tiempo reportando .

### 1/5 — No option to delete report, waste of city’s time and resources

*2026-05-18, version 6.4.29*

Users need to be able to delete reports if they resolve on their own. The wait time for parking issues is always very long, and often the car will move before the city gets to it. The wait is so long because the city will go check on the report and not find the car. Save all of our time and let us delete reports, or mark them as resolved.

### 1/5 — Unconstitutional

*2026-04-18, version 6.4.29*

This app should be taken to court people are getting tickets with in 5 min of parking in their own ally after unloading their cars into their houses are people’s cars are being taken pictures of for everyone to see with personal information such as vin numbers and plate numbers

### 1/5 — Ridiculous

*2026-04-07, version 6.4.29*

I have reported with this app 18 times about a problem with a food vendor not having a trash receptacle and I pick up their garbage every day!!! It’s absolutely ridiculous that they refuse to get a trash can we are 3 blocks from the ocean and they throw their cups and straws and wrappers all over the sidewalk and it drains right to the ocean and blows right inside my store the city and the store refuse to put a trash can out!!!

### 1/5 — This app is a joke

*2026-02-23, version 6.4.29*

People use our street for longterm airport parking. They park and then call an uber. The city took 6 months to drive by and close out the report stating that the car was no longer there…awesome thanks

### 1/5 — The city doesn’t really do much

*2025-12-09, version 6.4.29*

Just wondering how more pedestrians need to get run over by cars for the city to do something about pedestrian safety in this city.

### 1/5 — Terrible app!

*2025-09-08, version 6.4.24*

I have used this app for multiple occasions and the response time is incredibly slow or it just doesn’t get done at all. I never felt so ignored until I started to use get it done San Diego. It took them like 4 months to response to a small incident

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — New version, easier to use

*2026-08-10, version 7.1.6*

The latest version requires fewer screens to make reports and is easier to use. Looks and feels more modern. Some issues resolved right away while others take some time (unfortunately).

### 5/5 — Don’t Get it Done

*2026-06-03, version 6.4.29*

While the App has its relevance, the actual follow through by the City of San Diego is abismal. Several times I’ve submitted requests just to be ignored. Two recent requests still haven’t been resolved after 7 months for one and 2 months for another. Let alone a request for motorhomes in residential areas. This program is terrible!!!!

### 5/5 — Works great

*2026-05-06, version 6.4.29*

Thanks City of San Diego!

### 5/5 — Sidewalk repair

*2025-07-23, version 6.4.23*

On Friday, I sent in photos and an explanation of the badly broken sidewalk on Weston Hill that was a very dangerous tripping hazard. Three days later, the sidewalk was repaired and most of the area was cleaned of litter. Now it is very safe to walk there and I am very impressed that the city did this so quickly and so well.

### 5/5 — Helpful way to connect with the city

*2025-04-08*

Easy to report problems around the neighborhood such as graffiti and potholes. Depending on the issue, reports get resolved in varying amounts of time. There are even sometimes after photos provided which helps show what was done to fix the issue.

**Developer response:** Thanks for using Get It Done, and thanks for the kind words!

### 5/5 — Surprisingly effective & polished

*2025-03-30, version 6.4.15*

I’ve only reported pot holes and graffiti—a task the app makes incredibly convenient. It’s not quite frictionless, and text entry fields in the UI are really dated, but otherwise much better than filling a form out on some obscure city website, drafting an email or god forbid, having to call someone.

Biggest gripe with the app: it doesn’t support the iOS swipe to go back gesture. That left side drawer belongs in a hamburger menu. If any decision makers are reading this, look up Apple’s “Human Interface Guidelines” for best design practices.

### 5/5 — Excellent app!!!

*2024-11-15, version 6.4.15*

It works great! I’ve reported different issues and I’m very happy with the app and with the good response time! Specifically things like illegal dumping and certain parking issues are resolved quite fast. I like the recent update that we can cancel tickets if an issue resolves itself to save the city time. Also very nice that when the ticket is adressed the responder can attach an image of the resolution.

### 5/5 — Amazing Service (when it’s reliable)

*2024-10-21, version 6.4.15*

This is an incredible offering by the city. It doesn’t always work, but when it does it’s pretty magical.

### 5/5 — 5 stars so far

*2024-08-29, version 6.4.13*

Used it for the first time the other day. There was a broken piece of metal stuck on the curb causing a trip hazard. I took a picture and submitted a report using the app. Within 3 days someone came by and cut the piece of metal off the ground. I checked the app and it said the case was closed. So far the app was useful and served it’s purpose.

### 5/5 — Surprisingly effective & polished

**Developer response:** Thanks for taking the time to provide this thoughtful feedback. We've passed your UI suggestions to our app developer for consideration on future app updates.
