## What is Get Ready NWQ?

Live, work or travel in North West Queensland? The Get Ready NWQ connects you to information to help you prepare ahead of disaster season, or any season, and before you hit the road. 

Whether you're a seasoned local or it's your first visit to the region, take the time to Get Ready and connect to: updates from councils, weather and road conditions, local advice, search local maps and distances, find important contacts and more. 

The Get Ready NWQ app has been developed by the councils of North West Queensland to ensure locally relevant information is easily accessible for locals and visitors. This project is supported by Get Ready Queensland, a Queensland Reconstruction Authority initiative.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
