## What is Get Tan?

Get Tan helps you tan safely by calculating your personal safe sun exposure time based on your Fitzpatrick skin type and the current UV index — so you get color without the burn.

Set your skin type once during onboarding, then either pull the live UV index automatically via Open-Meteo or enter it manually. Get Tan instantly calculates how long you can safely stay in the sun and starts a warming countdown ring that counts down your exposure window in real time.

When your time is up, the app alerts you to move into shade. Sunscreen reapply reminders run on a configurable interval so you never lose track of when protection needs refreshing. Your skin's safety is always front of mind.

Every session is logged automatically to a history view showing date, UV index, skin type, and exposure duration. A streak tracker keeps you coming back and building a mindful suncare routine day by day.
