Today, there was an issue picking up my order and Getcho text me, called the manager of the location and handled everything while keeping me in the loop. I have yet to have any kind of delivery or courier service be this professional, courteous, and on top of things. I will continue to use them again and again! Very fair price and delivered quickly. I was off by 5 block. The driver cancel and never let me know. I tried to connect with customer service and the answer was “your mistake we can’t help you. Next time call a traditional service.” I was willing to pay more and even tipped the driver before he cancelled. All we needed was communication to fix the mistake. Just another app built without the proper human support that makes a business successful. ### 1/5 — Didn’t work *2025-01-19, version 2.5.45* App only said it couldn’t generate a quote for me, and then it kept freezing. I tried several times and then gave up and deleted the app. Life’s too short time on bad coding. I also expected I’d be able to browse bookstores through the app, but it seems like it’s only a messenger service. ### 1/5 — Glitch *2024-11-16, version 2.5.45* To the app makers, there is a glitch when you enter your phone number to register it stalls, the number pop up doesn’t go away and there is no other prompt ### 4/5 — Great app with room to grow! *2021-02-05, version 1.9.6* Easy to use and reliable. Sent two packages in one day using the app and was happy with both deliveries. Would love the ability to track the driver when picking up a delivery (can only track after it has been picked up and out for delivery) and also the ability to tip driver in the app. Customer service is fast and responsive - I was able to easily cancel a pickup and have a tip added for the driver through text. Keep in mind that delivery times are longer than using Uber or Lyft, but prices are more reasonable and the overall experience was better. ### 4/5 — It Worked, but.... *2020-11-23, version 1.9.4* I used this app for the first time today. I was excited to not have to take my small child out In the ugly weather, and instead have my item retrieved and delivered to me from a relative’s house. I put in the request, and got a driver no problem, except apparently Getcho just contracts with Postmates and DoorDash to use their drivers without telling the drivers themselves! How do I know this? Because the driver assigned to me was weirded out and tried to say that Postmates delivers food only. He had never heard of Getcho. After a little convincing (promise of a tip), he agreed to pick up and deliver the item, but Getcho doesn’t have any way to tip drivers through the app! Luckily he had Venmo, and everyone walked away happy. Getcho is definitely a promising app, and I would use it again, but somebody needs to fill in the poor drivers! ### 5/5 — Fast, inexpensive, reliable *2025-06-08, version 2.5.45* Well done Getcho team. Everything was very smooth and 3x cheaper than Uber. It then you get info on the courier with their number for texting and my courier got to the pickup so quick they weren’t ready with the package yet! And then when he tried to deliver the building wouldn’t let him in, so with my help he returned later in the day and made the delivery. I think they went above and beyond to get it done. ### 5/5 — Best courier app I’ve used *2025-03-13, version 2.5.45* I’m honestly amazed at how good this app is, I’ve used it twice to pick something up for me and both times I’ve received my item in under 15 mins from placing the pick up order, which is nuts. It’s like these couriers are always exactly where I’m placing my pick up, they show up within a minute or two. When I first set up my account I encountered an issue because I didn’t have my ID with me to verify, and customer service texted me asking if I was having trouble and immediately solved it for me and were very nice and helpful. I had to get a pair of walking poles from REI to my elderly mother in Sarasota, FL. I made a silly mistake of putting the REI address as both pickup and delivery (lol!) so got an immediate text from Jack. He was beyond amazing in stopping the order, explaining what I needed to do (due to federal regulations relating to delivery distance, they needed to turn the route into two Getcho routes.) Then he guided the process from beginning to end, assuring delivery of the sacred poles to my mom (who was leaving on her first solo trip this weekend in over 5 years.) Service was impeccable, and Jack went above and beyond to ensure the product arrived, including a photo of the sticks at the reception desk of my mother’s retirement community. My siblings and I will definitely be using this wonderful app for our mom for additional deliveries. Can’t recommend it enough!!! Thank you so much, Jack!! You made my day… and my mom’s first trip solo since my Dad died. So I looked up who could help, found Getcho, and it was almost too good that I felt a little badly about it. The price was not just a little bit less than if I were to use Uber and citibike, it was a lot less. And I didn’t have to do a thing except sit on my butt and direct people where to go, etc. I barely had to do that, because their folks are so on top of it from start to finish. Support was exceptional, and I can’t remember the last time I’ve had that sentiment about Uber or Lyft or Amazon or UPS or FedEx, where you struggle to figure out how to get help or they dictate when you can get help or when you can speak to a human being. I hope this company does well, bc it’s great. I’m new to NYC, and I’ll 100% use it again and tell my friends. I don’t know all the things that they are able to do or pick up, etc…but I know if I ask, they’ll try to help.
