I’m the IT admin at a college and this app is really useful. The negative reviews are blaming the geteduroam app for misconfigurations made by their own institution’s IT department. If configured correctly, the app works perfectly and beats manually configuring enterprise Wi-Fi settings manually.

Worked great for about a year then randomly disconnected me in the middle of class about 2 weeks ago, hasn't worked since. I've tried every suggestion I can fine online, not that there are many since for some reason every tech support site loves to give the most generic advice possible then tell you that actually that problem can't possibly occur and lock the thread before anyone can post an actual solution. Tried restarting my phone, forgetting the network and reconnecting, forgetting the network, shutting down my phone, then reconnecting, none of it works. To be clear I can connect to other wifi networks fine, and nobody else in the building is having trouble connecting to eduroam, just me. And yes, my login credentials are correct, I've check them more times than I can count, and I'm on the latest ios on a relatively new iphone.

There was a time that all you needed to connect to eduroam was you uni credentials. I would go to conferences all over the world and not have a problem connecting. And then this abomination was introduced. It’s essentially ensured you are no longer connected. Completely useless.

### 2.4 — 2025-06-04

We now show a status screen when the network is configured. A check whether the entered username is formatted correctly has been added and we prevent the credential prompt to appear by mistake or cause visual glitches. The Gaelic and Galician languages were added. A potential crash on launch was fixed.

### 2.3 — 2024-08-08

We have improved the handling of reminder notifications and you can now enter an URL in search field to use unlisted Let's WiFi instances.

### 2.2 — 2024-06-10

In this version we fixed handling certificates that don't have common name set. When searching for names with spaces, now more matches show up. You can open local EAP config files, either from the Share dialog or a long press on the search icon. The app can now inform users about available updates.

### 2.1 — 2024-02-27

In this version we fixed an issue where devices wouldn't connect to Wi-Fi when the device was locked. The input of credentials is improved by disabling autocapitalization and correction, and usage of left-to-right input for Arabic. Also support for password-only prompts was added. Users of both geteduroam and getgovroam can now use both apps simultaneously.

### 2.0.2 — 2024-01-06

This major update brings an entirely new designed and rewritten app.

Now available in English, Arabic, Bulgarian, Catalan, Dutch, English (UK), French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Portugese, Slovenian, Spanish, Ukrainian and Welsh.

This version fixes some connection issues resulting in invalid EAP settings error for configurations using multiple outer EAP types. Also, the TTLS inner auth method was always MSCHAPv2, but is now set according to the configuration.
