### 1/5 — Dangerous and Bad service

I’ve rented cars from here multiple times. Historically the cars have usually been in pretty poor condition. During the last five rentals, I’ve had one have a flat tire on the highway after 10 minutes of driving, Wong, the AC went out in the middle of day, another one took $25 off of my card as I pulled out of the parking they store it. And two cancellations, one last minute.  This service has just become absolutely unusable and undependable. And their cars can be dangerous. I’m shocked the Singapore government still lets them operate.

I have been a user since i got my license as undeniably among all the car sharing app, GetGo was the most user friendly and easy to use without the need to worry about anything. Their customer support is always on point too. 

However, it led to my disappointment that after i accidentally grazed the car onto the carpark near my house, they demanded a $1100 compensation for the repair of the car.

It was my fault, but i reported it straightaway and they took time to get back to me, thereafter, just dropped me a bill which consisted of of the $300 admin fee, which idk what does it consist as i have already reported it, at most they only have to pay the third party company for investigation. It also includes $240 for loss of use for 2 days, when it’s a small part of the car, which is the side of it only. It’s impossible that it took 2 days to repair. Tbh, it wasn’t out, it’s a small graze near the headlights, which probably dislocated a little. Also, the car is in a fully drivable condition, as i drove it back to its place, I couldn’t understand why they have to engage a towing service which adds another $120 to the bill. And it’s small part of spray paint requires $275. Tbh, it’s really a disappointment receiving it, and i really wouldn’t recommend you to use it. 

If there’s no incident, good for you, but if there is, they are just going to add on all these unnecessary charges to make you pay.

Use to own a car, but now GetGo is a big help for me daily to send and pick my school going kids for the last 2 years and once in a while for family outings.
Cars conditions (interior) are of course 5 to 8 upon 10. I found some pet’s hairs on the seat left by idiotic irresponsible animal behaviour pets’ owner and rubbish sometimes left behind and some cloth seat cushions are stained. 2 cars at my place smells of dog rotten smells and i stop using it and choose other vehicles which has no smell. GetGo should collect deposit for young drivers or less than 3 years of driving experience. Some GetGo’s fleet has awful dents and scratches. Overall, I will support GetGo as it is user friendly and convenient. WELL DONE GETGO for looking into this small community like us without own transportation.

Been using GetGo for the past 3 years, so far I had not much trouble when renting the cars. It’s just that sometimes I get very dirty car especially the interior but some inconsiderate customers. It will be great if GetGo could look into this matter of interior cleanliness and get the cars washed every week. Can I suggest that u add air fresheners inside the car and phone holder as well? And also it will be great to have CS number where we can call cos sometimes the online chat is not that responsive especially if we are having any emergency or situation that requires immediate action. Just my 2 cents. Continuous improvement is key

I have been using GetGo Carsharing for almost 6 months now to ferry my children to school in the morning. Overall, I like the idea where I can book just 1 hour for short usage and I do not need to worry about maintenance of car, season parking, petrol etc. The car are generally clean although sometimes some inconsiderate user still left rubbish behind but the apps allowed you to feedback with photos and they will have people clean up the car. 

Not all car condition is good but overall you can report the condition so that they can take the car offline for repair. However I do not like their Hybrid car because I have bad experience from their Sienta Hybrid (same car 3 times) couldn’t start and have to spend up to 20mins on the apps troubleshooting with their support which so far have managed to resolve. I have since skip booking that car. 

Overall, users of GetGo has to be considerate in keeping the car clean and report any fault found timely so that the community get to enjoy the ride. I will continue to support this GetGo service as it significantly helps reducing the expenses of owning a car.

I had the opportunity to try GetGo when I was in Singapore for vacation and experience was not great. The app Bluetooth connection to lock and unlock is horrible and not reliable. So much wasting of time to end the app and restart again. I booked the car within is inside a underground garage and the app does not without signals and has to get support team to help and having to walk out to send chat and walked back to take photos which is a  horrible experience. Support team is great and I booked EV car for most of my ride and it is annoying that you can only use 3 approved charging station. There is 1 since the same parking garage which is not approved. I hope they improve the app and get more RV charging station in the future.

If the service goes down, you can’t connect to anything including the car. So you have to hope it doesn’t because support is pretty much non-existent.

I would say just use their vehicles at your own risk! I rented a very old car but really needed it to take my mom out, so didn’t think too much of it. The experience was terrible. Took a few times to lock the car, back up camera seems plugged and play by a third party and not originally installed. Duh since it’s that old. In returning the car I couldn’t see well through the camera and backed into a pillar. Getgo charged me way above market rate for damages that were already there prior to the trip. Something I could easily get quoted and worked with the owner outside of Getgo. Strong story short, the >4K that they charged has scarred me to this day and I’ll never rent from Getgo again, a company that wouldn’t even blink an eye on any chance to rip you off.
